It wasn’t just exhaustion that made Flic’s hands shake as she tried to get through her morning jobs. After barely any sleep, she had slept through her alarm and now she was rushing to catch up on the work and it was quickly snowballing into chaos. The kitchen was a mess of different ingredients and mixtures, and there was still a mountain left to do. She was never a clean and tidy baker, but the area was becoming madness. Her fatigue from the last couple of days was weighing her down and all she wanted to do was go back to bed and hide.
