A soft nudge made Flic frown and she mumbled in her sleep, edging away from the disruption. It had been days since she had been able to rest worry-free and she didn’t want it to end so soon. The light pushing against her arm persisted, and she grumbled as her eyes peeled open. Her head felt too heavy to lift from the window, but she turned her chin to Julien, trying to hold back giving her saviour the stink eye.
