The day was difficult. It was bound to be after her altercation with the Alpha, but no matter how hard she tried, Flic couldn’t push away the feelings bubbling inside. They sapped all her energy and stole her enthusiasm, forcing every moment to be an effort. A bitter taste lingered in her mouth, getting worse as she stewed on the morning. All she had tried to do was help Damon and reinforce the image they were trying to maintain, but he had massacred it. He could’ve waited and talked to her afterwards but instead froze her out for the warriors to see. It was far from how a loved-up Luna and Alpha should have been and Flic could feel odd glances thrown her way all day. Though there had been no public argument, word had travelled quick about the morning, and she had to do damage control.
