Sarah stood in the rain, the rain droplets felt heavier as each second passed. Samuel stood a few steps away from her, his eyes red from crying. His face wallowed and his eyes hollow, his body swayed in the heavy rainfall.
It could be seen he was unwell with his unusual paleness. Sarah didn’t like to see him this way, but there was no way she would give in to this twisted love. She couldn’t, it was right for him or even her to be together.
She would be the tool used to control him and a man destined to be the most powerful should not have a weakness. She wasn’t willing to be his weakness, not after everything they had been through.
