Our kiss was so long-awaited. Julius nipped my bottom lip and I hesitated for a second, opening my mouth slightly for him. He softly licked my lips, giving me goosebumps. I opened my mouth hungrily, exploring his with my tongue, giving him the first chance to explore mine. He pulled my small frame tight against him as close as he could. Our kiss lasted until we had to break apart to take a breath.
“I have longed to kiss you, Emily. To hold you in my arms.” He blushed. “To make you mine, but so much went wrong and I lost you. Now I don’t know if I will ever be able to have you by my side.” Pulling away from me, he turned his back to me, and walked over to the window. I felt the emptiness the moment he left me.
