I was in my office early in the morning, as the sun rose. My informant, one of the night guards, reported back on what was happening the night before.
“Your Majesty, there has been noise coming from the Prince’s room.” The guard looked ashamed to tell me. I had to make use of my servants to provide me with information on what was happening in my castle.
I paid them well and knew that they would not betray me. I wanted to know what kind of noises, and felt irritated when he finally came out and told me they were of a s****l nature. I was surprised. The young prince had found himself a mistress. Thanking the guard, I asked if he perhaps knew who it was or if this young lady had been seen leaving Julius’s room. Unfortunately, nobody had seen her.
