Chapter 4

Natigil sa pagtitipa si Alice nang marinig niyang mag buzz ang kanyang doorbell. Nangunot ang kanyang noo at kaagad siyang tumayo mula sa kanyang kinauupuan.

She peeped on the door's peephole and saw Ophelia smiling. Somehow, she felt pissed again.

Ophelia's beautiful and Alice was even attracted to this woman kahapon lang but after she saw her with Cyan, bigla nalang nag-iba ang ihip ng hangin and she doesn't know why it happened. She rolled her eyes and opened the door.

"Hello Alice!" Ophelia greeted her excitingly. Ngumiti siya.

"Hey, what's up?" bati niya rito. Ophelia smiled.

"Are you busy?" tanong nito sa kanya.

"Well ye—" Nagulat siya nang bigla nalang nitong hinawakan ang kanyang mga kamay. Her eyes slightly widened. What is this woman doing?

"Umm, I don't know our other neighbors, only you. I'm kinda shy to knock on their doors and invite them inside our house."

Nangunot ang kanyang noo. What?

"Huh?"

"I cooked a lot of foods and some of my friends are too busy to come, me and my fiancee wouldn't be able to finish all of those... it'll be shame if we throw out the leftovers." nag pout ito. "There are a lot of starving children in the whole world."

"But I'm doing—"

Ophelia pressed her hands and smiled.

She sighed. Actually kaunti nalang ang ginagawa niyang paperworks ngayon and she's almost done revising some manuscripts from their company. She's not 'that' busy anymore but she still doesn't want to go because Cyan's there.

"I'm so—"

"Please?" Nag-puppy eyes pa ito. She sighed. Wala na siyang magawa, seeing how Ophelia's acting right now, siguradong kukulitin nang kukulitin lang siya nito.

"Is it okay for your fiancee for me to go there?" tanong niya rito. Ophelia smiled and quickly nodded her head.

"Of course! Why not?" ngumiti ito. "So let's go?"

She sighed again and nodded her head.

"Welcome to our house Alice!" excited na pag-welcome ni Ophelia sa kanya sa bahay nito. She's looking around the house at napa-wow siya sa decorations nito. They even changed the wallpaper of the house.

Naglalakad sila papunta sa kusina neto nang biglang lumabas mula sa isang kwarto si Cyan. Her eyes widened. Basa ang buhok nito and tanging tuwalya lang ang tumatakip sa ibabang parte ng katawan nito. For some reason she felt something tingling inside her. Cyan wasn't looking at her, he was drying his wet hair with a towerl. She bit her lower lip and followed the drop of water falling from his hair to his perfectly-sculpted body.

My goodness, may eight pack abs si Cyan!

Holy s**t he's gorgeous!

Her heart started beating so fast when Cyan lifted his head and their eyes met. Mukhang nagulat din ito na nandito siya ngayon sa loob ng bahay nito. Ilang segundo silang nagkatitigan. She doesn't know why she can't look away from his eyes. Parang nag lock ang pagtingin nila sa isa't-isa.

"Babe! May bisita tayo!" Pinalo nito si Cyan sa braso. Nauna itong umiwas ng tingin.

"Right, sorry babe." tsaka ito ngumiti at pumasok sa isang kwarto.

"I'm so sorry Alice, I didn't inform him kasi that you're also coming." tsaka ito tumawa. She just smiled.

Hindi niya alam kung ano'ng nangyari sa kanya kanina. She hates him for what he did to her ten years ago ngunit hindi niya alam kung bakit parang may naramdaman siyang connection sa kanilang dalawa kanina. Para siyang na-hypnotize sa mga mata nito kanina.

What in the f*****g hell are you thinking Alice? You should hate the man!

While Ophelia's serving her food, bigla nalang lumabas si Cyan mula sa kwarto. He's now wearing a gray v-neck shirt and a cargo pants. Lumapit ito kay Ophelia at slight na nanlaki ang kanyang mga mata when Ophelia grabbed Cyan's nape and kissed him.

"Fresh na fresh my babe!"

Cyan looked shocked also ngunit ngumiti ito.

"Go sit there Babe, I'll just clean my mess here sa sink okay?" Ophelia said.

"Kay." Cyan said and then sat down. Maliit na square table ang kanilang lamesa at magkaharap lang silang dalawa ngayon. Cyan's still not looking at her.

Ilang minuto lang silang nakaupo ron, she's just scrolling through her phone when Cyan spoke.

"Eat."

Napatingin siya rito. Cyan's still not looking at her.

"I know you're already feeling uncomfortable so you should eat fast so you could leave early." tuloy-tuloy nitong sabi. She smirked.

Gago 'to ah, pinapalayas siya.

"Wag mo 'kong utusan, Ophelia invited me, it'll be rude if kakain ako tapos hindi siya kasabay." sabi niya rito. Cyan sighed and just continued eating.

A few minutes later, lumapit sa kanilang dalawa si Ophelia. Nagtatakang napatingin ito sa kanya.

"Why are you not eating?" tanong nito sa kanya. She smiled at Ophelia.

"I'm waiting for you." she said. Napangiti ito.

"Let's eat then."

They both smiled. Napatingin siya kay Cyan. Cyan's not saying a word.

Ayaw siya nitong pansinin? Then wag!

They're halfway through their dinner when the doorbell buzzed.

"I'll get it." sabi ni Ophelia tsaka ito umalis.

A few minutes later may narinig siyang boses ng lalake sa loob ng bahay.

The voice seems familiar. Nakita niyang napatigil si Cyan sa pag nguya at napatampal ito sa noo nito.

What's the problem?

"Thank you and sorry kung na-late kami, I was really busy. So what's for—" it was Cylix!

Napatigil ito sa pagsasalita nang makita siya nito.

"What the f**k!" Sigaw nito.

"Hey! No cursing in this house!" Pagalit na sabi ni Ophelia. Nagpalipat-lipat ang tingin nito sa kanilang dalawa ni Cyan. Cyan waved his hand na para bang nagsasabi ito na 'I'll explain it to you later.'

"Why do you look so shocked?!" sabi ni Ophelia. Cylix smiled nervously.

"N-Nothing! The food! It's because of the food! My favorite!"

Puta, anyone can tell that he's nervous as f**k.

Napatingin itong muli sa kanya. She shrugged.

"Leave your things there and let's eat okay?" sabi ni Ophelia. Cylix shook his head.

"Umm, I need to leave, maaga pa ako tomorrow."

Cyan was mouthing 'STAY!'

Cylix was shaking his head and he mouthed 'NO!'

Napatampal siya sa kanyang noo.

"You sure?" tanong ni Ophelia kay Cylix. Cylix nervously smiled at her.

"Yes."

Sabay-sabay silang kumain ng dinner when Ophelia served them wine.

"Oh I can't get drunk." sabi niya rito.

"Same, kaunti lang iinumin natin." sabi ni Ophelia, slang pa ang pag-ta-tagalog nito. "I can't drink that much also, I get drunk really fast." patuloy nito.

Ophelia started pouring wine in their glasses, nang matapos ito ay kaagad nitong ini-raise ang glass nito.

"Cheers!" sabi nito.

"Cheers." she raised her glass slightly and started drinking the wine.

Hindi niya alam kung ano'ng klaseng wine ang pinainom ni Ophelia sa kanila at ang bilis niyang malasing. Naka-dalawang glasses lang siya ngunit hilong-hilo na siya ngayon, she can't walk straight anymore.

Napatingin siya sa kanyang katabi. Nakasalampak na ang ulo nito sa lamesa and she cringed when she heard Ophelia snoring.

"She sleeps when she's drunk." sabi ni Cyan. She nodded her head.

"I'll take my leave now, thank her for inviting me." sabi niya kay Cyan tsaka siya tumayo mula sa kanyang kinauupuan. She's already wobbling, hindi niya mabalanse ang kanyang sarili.

"S-Shit..." she cursed.

She tried walking but almost fell, buti nalang Cyan caught her. She heard him sigh at impit siyang napatili nang bigla nalang siyang binuhat nito, bridal style.

Napatingin siya sa mukha nito.

"I'm just gonna bring you home. You can't walk straight, you're too drunk." sabi nito sa kanya. She bit her lower lip.

He carried her hanggang sa bahay niya.

"One zero one eight." sabi niya rito sa passcode niya. Cyan typed in the passcode.

"Where's your room?"

"Turn left? I guess?" Hindi rin siya sure. She's too drunk!

Cyan tried to find her room and when he finally found her room, kaagad siya nitong inihiga sa kanyang kama.

"Change the passcode when you're already sober." sabi nito sa kanya matapos siya nitong ihiga sa kanyang kama. Cyan turned his back on her but she refuses to let him go home like this.

Ayaw niyang umalis ito sa kanyang tabi.

She grabbed his hand. Napalingon ito sa kanya.

"Alice—s**t!" napamura ito nang bigla niya itong hinila sa kama. Nasa ibabaw niya na ito. Cyan tried to pull away but it's already too late, she already grabbed his nape and kissed him.
