I felt exhausted. I only wanted to open my mouth to yell at Kelly to stop punching me, but a floodgate opened instead.
I heard that little voice say that some man was yelling bad words. Way to go Austin, you just scared that kid with your mouth. I thought to myself.
My dad took Xavier back to the bedroom. I looked up at Kelly and said, “I’m sorry. Once I started I couldn’t stop.”
Kelly put her hand on my shoulder and said, “It’s ok, you needed to let that out. Austin you are not alone in this ok. You are never alone, you got me and your family. We will get through all of this.” Kelly said.
