Chapter 5When it came for the ship to take flight, Thoth could barely give either Thomas or Alice any of his precious time. The plague had finally reached the village, and along with Algernon, Thoth was desperately putting the finishing touches to the ship. Including my craft’s damaged crystals that will enable me to pilot this ship even farther than Algernon can imagine.
Thoth looked around before hurrying away and into the house. I also have to set Tesseract on board. I’ve been able to hide Tesseract among Algernon’s personal Egyptian museum. But the last thing I need is for Trojan to spot something he thinks is valuable. But if we don’t leave in the next several hours, we won’t leave at all. We’ll be overwhelmed by the villagers thinking they can find refuge here, and we’ll all die.
