"Your Highness, it is the day that you will take the Heroes of Sadonia to the Palace," Vida told the princess who's in her deep thoughts.
I wonder if what's bothering her? We are currently outside the house while eating papaya which was found by Chrys from the forest.
"So, umm... Vida, when will be that day the dragon will attack?" I asked her as I don't know if when is that full moon they're talking about since they don't have a calendar and they don't have names for the days.
"Four days and five nights from now. And, you will spend those days going to the palace. And, in the palace, you are going to plan, prepare the weapons, and instruct the warriors. There would be a huge need of how you are going to convince the people of the kingdom to believe in you so that you can keep them safe." She stated and I guess that would be a very hard thing to do. I can't even fully believe that I was way a very long time back in the past. How much more the people in the past believe someone could be from the future?
"So, you were saying, Vida, that the people don't believe in that prophecy?" Chrys asked as he sat down next to me.
"Well, some of them believe but mostly don't, because as you have been saying that time travel is impossible." She replied and now I'm getting more worried. How can we keep people safe if they don't have faith?
"Don't worry, Car, I'm here and I will help you convince my father to convince the whole kingdom," Mel said while holding my hand as she noticed that I'm somewhat anxious about what to do.
"Thank you, Mel. I guess that would be a very effective thing to do. Convince the leader and let him the one to tell his people." I said and that's a perfect idea. I just hope that she can convince the king.

"These supplies would be enough for you for two days. You need to get there as fast as possible so that you will still have time to get ready." Vida said as she handed Chrys the basket full of food and water.
The princess and I are busy wearing our cloaks and our weapons. And, we will bring with us the weapons that Vida and Vina issued, which are swords and shields, bows and arrows, and armors. These are heavy and thank goodness that we have horses.
"Wait, what? You mean we need to walk for two days? I thought that the palace is at the center of this diamond-shaped kingdom? Then, it would take less than a day to get there since it took us a whole day walking from Wondi to Tessa's, and from Tessa's to Vina's and then to you." I let out and Chrys is nodding his head as he got my point.
That would be a shorter distance if we base it on geometry. Yeah, I know a little math, okay? My best friend tortured me with geometry and trigonometry way back then, no, in the future from now.
"Yes, two days is the minimum time that you'll arrive. It might have a shorter distance but the road you'll take here from north to the palace consists of hills, high mountains, forests, a cliff, valleys, and of course, rivers and river banks. When you trailed the boundaries, it doesn't have all those that I've mentioned. So, it just took you just a day of walking." She explained and she handed me a different map.
I looked at it closely and it really says what she has said. That's a lot of obstacle course out there.
"Oh-kay. That's... great! It gotta be an exciting adventure. What do you think, Maddie? The adventures of Chrysler Hale, Carreon Maddison, and Princess Melina of Sadonia, with Their Horses." Chrys uttered while sounding so excited.
He really likes adventure, isn't he?
"Yeah, damn." It was all I said and took a deep breath.
Well, that's going to be a great bonding time with our horses then.
---
"So long, Travelers! I wish you all good luck and be careful." Vida said as she stood at her front door saying farewell to us.
We waved her goodbye but then Chrys went back near her. I guess he's gonna ask her something.
"Uh... Vida. After all of the things in the prophecy is fulfilled, can we really go back to our time?" He asked hopefully.
I was wondering about that too. I looked at Mel and she suddenly frowned. Maybe she's sad that we won't be able to see each other again after all of this. And, that made me kind of have a sad feeling too. We just got together so close, and then, we'll have to leave.
"Yes, we can assure you that, Chrysler." She replied, and with that, I made Reo walk and the princess followed, while Chrys still have something to ask the witch.
"Hey, are you alright, Car?" Mel asked as they walked beside me. She might have noticed my sad aura. I just don't want to think about it for now.
"Yep, I'm fine. Hey, Chrys! Our two days of a walk just got extended. Are you coming or not?" I answered her and called out the asshole.
He saw us ten meters away from them and he finally waved Vida goodbye.
---
"What's the first obstacle course we'll going to pass across, Maddie?" He asked and I looked at the map.
"We'll have three hills," I answered and the next we'll have a forest, two high mountains, then a river, another forest, a riverbank, and finally a forest.
"That's boring." He uttered and I just scoffed. What does he want? Hills with carnivorous dinosaurs flying above our heads?
"Don't mind him, Mel. He's just loveless right now, so he wants to distract himself with crazy adventures." I whispered to Mel and she just chuckled. I'd love to hear that all day.
"Hey, I heard that loud and clear." He stated and I just chuckled.
---
After two hours of walking, Chrys finally remembered that he's bringing with him our supplies.
"Apple, anyone?" He yelled and pulled out some apple from the basket and I looked back at him. I told him to pass me one, and he threw Mel one of it too.
I missed playing baseball with Kevin, Mike, and the other boys.
Then, a sigh escaped from my mouth as I remember how are the people we've left doing right now. I guess they are so damn worried about us. And Kate? I left her while she's still crying her eyes out. I should've listened to her to not go beat up her asshole gay ex-boyfriend.
But there are two things I am glad about in this adventure, I met Mel and I started to forget smoking. They don’t have cigarettes here, and that's great.
We kept walking with our horses while Mel asks some questions about what is in the future. She even asked if where we live and what is school and who are our friends. Well, she got somewhat curious when she heard about Kate. I just know that she got kinda jealous, and I can't help but smile. If she could just meet her.
---
It's almost sunset and we're still trekking around the second high mountain. We got slower since we cannot ride our horses on this very rocky and slanted road. Why is this even a road? Can people pass here if they have heavy cargo? They would literally spit out their digestive system going up and down this one hella place.
"We should find a resting place since we can't go on during the night," Mel suggested and we started looking around for a great place to stay the night. Why is there no village on the map?
"Uh... Seriously, Mel. We're going to sleep outside under the sky on the grasses?" Chrys asked in disbelief. We got no choice.
What does he think? A princess didn't even complain when she is used to sleeping in her king-sized bed at the palace. Well, I just missed my bed and my cuddle buddy, my stuffed toy given by my dad on my tenth birthday. Mom must've been so worried about me now, and I'm worried about her too since she's all alone in our house.
We finally found a plain area and clear from trees and bushes.
"Yes, we don't have any choice and you have said that you want an exciting adventure. So, here it is. We are going to sleep with nature." She explained, and yep, that sounds exciting.
The gay finally agreed and went to find some wood and dried leaves to make a fire.
"Hand me your lighter, Maddie. Please." Chrys asked and I threw him my greatest possession back from the future.
People here still use stone or wood to make fire. I'm actually thinking if we would go back to our time I would give this to Mel. She has been so fascinated by this. But I don't want to miss her and I don't want to leave her. Ugh, this is so hard!
We ate dinner and made ourselves comfortable with the bed we made out of nothing but just the grass and some rocks as a pillow. But I'd rather have no pillow at all. Luckily, Mel just found the most comfortable pillow in the world, which is my arm.
Then, I pulled her close to me so that the coldness of the night will be decreased. I wish we could be like this forever.
And, Chrys suddenly cleared out his throat. Now, he's going to tease us again. He never really gets tired of it.
"I warn you, People. There should be no steamy moments, alright? Just do it some other time where you have walls." He let out and hugged himself tighter with his cloak.
"Just sleep, Asshole," I uttered and Mel wrapped her left arm on me. That's even better.
"Okay. Night-night everyone. And sweet dreams." He said, and finally, dozed off to sleep. Here he goes again snoring like a pig.
Then, I kissed her head and whispered good night.
---
I suddenly woke up by some commotion. And, I immediately pulled out my sword and I noticed that the princess is no longer beside me. Then, somebody killed the fire with water.
"Who's there? Mel? Is that you?" I asked worriedly with a sword in my hand.
What if something bad happened? Where is she, anyway?
