Loving Hatred

My mother sat on her swivel chair while busily writing something. I sighed. Inayos ko ang napakakapal na eyeglasses sa aking mukha. "War.. Please try to sleep." My mother sighed. "Mom, I am okay." I assurred her. She needs to rest. Damn it! "You more than anyone needs a rest." Lumapit ako sakanya. "Not just me, but also you!" "Warren.." "No, mommy!" Nagiinit na ang ulo nya. Okay, her mother is the most gentle person on earth. Hindi nya alam kung san sya nagmana. Damnnit! Ang pasensya nya ay umiikli habang tumatanda sya. And she can't understand it. Damn. "If you wanna let me rest, you will be resting too!" Her mother chuckled. "You do get that from that person.." Bulong pa nito. "Malabo ang mata ko pero di ako bingi. Sinong tao yun, mom?" "Wala naman." She smiled. "Alright. Let's rest for now." Iniabot nya ang kamay nya sakin. "Let's go." "Magpapahinga din naman pala." I pouted. "Stop that." She chuckled again. What is wrong with my mother? She looked happy despite the hardships she's having because of me. Sinamahan nya ako papasok sa kwarto ko. Dumiretso ako sa maliit na banyo saka nagbihis ng pantulog. Nagmamadali akong lumabas para maabutan si mommy na nagaayos ng kama ko. "Come on, sweetheart, i'll tuck you in." Anyaya nya sakin. I obliged. Lumapit ako at humiga sa kama. Kinumutan nya ako saka nagsalita uli. "I knew someone.." Simula nya. "Who?" Takang tanong ko. My voice sounded hoarse. But im interested in whatever she'll say. In my life, si mommy lang ang kasama ko. "Your father." She whispered. Napabalikwas ako ng tayo. "Tell me, mom!" Halos tumili ako. "Yes. Yes, I will tell you. Just relax, love." She laughed a bit. "Go on mom!" Excited na saad ko. "Yes. Well.. Your father.. But whatever i say will be between us, Warren.." She said a bit.. Sad. Pero tumango tango ako. "Okay.. Your father.. You know him. Everybody does." She started. "He's Warren Markovzskiy, owner of Markovzskiy Enterprises." She said. "W-wait mom. Wait!" Pigil ko sakanya. "So kapatid ko si Red?" Nanghihilakbot kong saad. Hatred Markovzskiy, the official school asshole is my brother?! "No, Warren. Ikaw lang ang anak ni War.." Hinaplos nya ang buhok ko at napabuntong hininga. "Hatred Markovzskiy is Deanna Alvez Markovzskiy's son to Hades Romanov. Gods. I still get the damn headache for this problem his mother's given us." Malumanay pa nyang saad. "Mom!?" Halos mapasigaw ako. "Sweetheart, please refrain from shouting. Gabi na." She said while getting me back on my bed. "But mommy! You said damn! Oh my god, Kelsey would be so thrilled that i can say i am really your daughter!" Halos mapatalon ako. She laughed. Kahit anong gawin ni Harmony Cherish Ryd ay hindi mawawala ang pagiging mabait nito. I laughed with her. "You are my daughter, but you.. Are Warren's girl too." She smiled. That same sad smile that she wears whenever we are happy came back. "But sadly, he doesn't know anything about you." She whispered again. "Why mom? Hindi nya alam na may nabuntis syang napakabait na babae? Na sinayang ka nya? Na mas deserving ka kesa sa mommy ni Red?" Madam Dean is nice. Yes. She's nice in a way na yung pagiging terror nya ay mejo okay pa. Oh well. Siguro kaya ganun si Red? I chuckled. And yes, wala akong pake kung tatay ko ang kinikilalang tatay ni Red. Masaya na ako sa mommy ko. And i use my gramma's maiden surname. Whitlock. I am Warren Peace Whitlock. And I don't  know what I will do to people around me.
