What the hell!
How does he know it? I looked at him stunned. His eyes taking in my expression quite closely.
To only have me chuckle, trying to increase the distance between us.
"S..ir.. Daniel...I didn't know you even joked"
His jaw hardens. His eyes were still looking at me.
"I don't Thora."
I avoided his stare, looking down at my hands. Trying to avoid his scrutinizing gaze.
"Thora. I know you have been rejected by your mate and your Alpha has treated you badly. You don't need to hide it from me."
So he knows....but does he know my Alpha is none other than my mate?
