Two days after their conversation in the garden, two days of extreme suffering. Yoongi spent the entire days outside, wandering in the fields in his true form. He could not go home without Jimin's scent hitting his nose. He ran without knowing where he was going, he stumbled on tree trunks and continued despite his injuries because he could not feel them, they did not equal the pain he felt knowing he could lose his mate one minute to another. He approached the river and stopped, his heart beat faster as he remembered when Lucas left him drowning in the cold water. All the bad memories of his father had submerged in his head during that moment and he could not convince himself to swim as he had always done when he was still a child. His breath was diminishing as he struggled to get to the surface, he felt his chest tighten against him as water hid his sight. For a moment he had believed that his life was coming to an end, that he was finally going to perish in the water as he was always afraid. He had thought that he was going to breathe his last breath without the chance to see his smile again, to hold him in his arms and whisper 'I love you' for the last time. Then, suddenly, he felt someone pulling his arm, he was so weak that he could not open his eyes to see him. An arm fell around his waist as they climbed to the surface. A minute later, he was lying on the grass, lips covering his, bringing breath through his mouth. When he was finally conscious, the first thing he managed to breathe was his scent. Jimin was there to break all his nightmares, all the drownings he had dreamed of during countless nights. All the deaths he had experienced, all the pains, all the memories. Only one man managed to break everything, to end everything. Today, he was looking at the water of the river as if now it was an important part of his life, the memory of having someone to save you while the others hurt you. The memory of Jimin, leaning toward his body, the droplets of water falling from his blond hair to gently caress his naked body, his beautiful yellow eyes shining brightly as he stared at him and, that's when they shared their first kiss. The Alpha shifted back to his human form and laid on the grass, exactly where he was four days ago. He opened his eyes, the sun hung so impossibly in the smoky sky- a perfect circle without strings or supports. Sometimes he imagined it to be a cut-out, that it is in reality a wall of fire behind the heavens. In this sunlight, water evaporates in slow waves, waves that dance along with the gentle breeze. The melody from the trees caresses his ears, as if these golden rays are their conductor's wand, and together they are the song that calls forth the spring. These are the moment where he wished Jimin was laying next to him to admire the beauty of the sun together, his head rested on his chest, their hands intertwined, their hearts beating at once. This is something he always dreamed about doing with his mate, just spending time together, without saying anything, just feeling their presence and living the moment together. He didn't feel the tears falling on his cheeks. His eyes dripped with tears. The walls that held him up, made him strong just collapsed. Little by little, they fell. Salty drops fall from his chin, to drench his naked body. "P-please." he cried, the tears covering his view. "Please don't leave me." It was more than crying, it was the kind of hurtful sobs that came from a person drained of hope. He covered his face with his two big hands, his tears falling more quickly and his groans echoed around the forest. The pain that flowed from him was as palpable as the cold winter wind. He wished he did not save him from the water the other day, he wished he let him die. He preferred losing his life than to lose Jimin, the only person who gave him a taste for life after so many years of suffering. "Please, my love."
