Rose put their plan into immediate action. She'd invited Cade to meet her parents. She'd told them about him as a client so their story about falling in love while she was finding him a wife would work.
They spent some time hashing things out and they hadn't signed a contract yet, but Cade was all for going forward with the charade. At some point, she'd have to meet his family, but he was vague about when that would happen.
She would press him on the issue, but not tonight. She was nervous about this meeting.
The doorbell rang and when Rose opened the door, Cade took away her breath. “Wow. You clean up well."
He grinned and gave her a single red rose. She took it.
“Is Keegan around?" Cade asked as he stepped into her house.
