I slammed the door to my chambers shut as soon as I was able to do so. I had decided to leave Hera alone after it had become apparent that she was not going to answer me. I knew that it might have been a rather hasty reaction on my part, but it didn’t change the fact that I hadn’t been capable of staying there for much longer. If I had even attempted to do so, I would have lost my sanity. That much I was certain of. I was so annoyed, so frustrated by everything that had happened during the course of the day and the evening.
I flopped down onto the bed, the sheets feeling ice-cold against my skin. Although I hated the sensation, it was doing a good job of getting my mind off of Hera, of getting me to think about something other than her.
