“Took you long enough.”
Hades still didn’t sound like he was at all surprised by the fact that he had had to wait so long for me to come back. He didn’t look like he was impressed by it either. But I couldn’t blame him. It was far from pleasant having to stare at Hera while she probably didn’t even know that you were there with her.
“Believe me, I did my best not to take too long.”
And I did. I had done what I could to make sure that I didn’t end up taking this long, but it had been an unavoidable situation that I now found myself in. And I was sure that Hades was going to be far from happy with what I was going to tell him now—but if he wanted to help Hera, then he didn’t have much of a choice than to comply.
