I found myself in a situation where I had no idea what I was supposed to do, where I had no idea how I was supposed to handle this situation. I didn’t know what to say, or what to ask. I felt like I had been thrown with a bucket of ice, like there was frost forming in the recesses of my mind. If I had my way, I would have allowed the ground to open up and swallow me whole, but that wasn’t possible. It was far from possible. I think that the fact that I hadn’t answered her, was starting to get to her, because she had started to fidget, wringing her fingers around as she waited for me to say something. It wasn’t helping me at all, because it was starting to agitate me even more. Everything that was going on was becoming more and more for me to handle, so much so that I was almost prepared
