“Well, I’d say that I’m surprised to see you, but that would be a lie. You knew that I was coming.” I didn’t care that I was most probably coming across as defensive to her, because for all I knew, she had already seen all of this coming, and was more than prepared for all of it—which wasn’t fair. I didn’t think that it was fair at all. She had the chance to go ahead and prepare everything in a manner that would ensure that all of this worked out in the way that she wanted it to. I, on the other hand, needed to deal with everything as it came and hope for the best. And more often than not, it ended up being far from the best. “I can tell when you intend to find me, Aurora. I’m no fool. I know that there’s no way for you to see me other than for me to come to you and that is what I did.
