The walk to my mother seemed to be taking much longer than it ordinarily would have taken me, and to say the least, I was far from happy that I was making this trip. I imagined that my mother would be just as unhappy as I was when she found herself in my company, hearing what it was that I had to say to her. I wasn’t even remotely sure of how she was going to react, but it was something that was beyond my control.
