Chapter 5“Cut!”
Trey rubs his face and lifts a hand. “Sorry, Paul,” he calls out to the director and smiles weakly at Alexandra.
“Sorry, don’t know what’s wrong with me today.”
Alexandra shrugs. “It’s okay.”
“No, it’s not okay,” Trey says abruptly, frustrated. Five takes and Trey can see everyone is getting twitchy. He’s annoyed not only with himself but with Jesse. He has been on set for hours and he hasn’t seen Jesse anywhere. He doesn’t want to believe that Jesse probably has quit after all. Jesse needs the job and the money.
“Okay, Trey, Alex, shall we start again?” Paul claps him on the back and walks away.
Trey sighs. He needs to get his act together. He needs to get into character, and he has to stop brooding about Jesse.
