Chapter 17: Akton
Lochlann turned to glare at Whitney, who looked mildly amused. Akton stared at the door. Talfryn had pushed him off but he had to go after him. He crossed to the door and Lochlann followed him; together they spilled out into Yskorr after Talfryn.
He was easy enough to find. Akton had a good sense of him, even among all these other shifters, and he definitely stood out in the crowd. It struck Akton suddenly just how pale the residents of the city were and the back of his neck began to itch with fear. How many people around them were dragons? How many were shifters who were dragon sympathizers? It wasn’t safe here.
