"No need," Cecilia said coldly, not accepting the check. "Let's consider everything in the past as my own fault. Besides, didn't I also 'waste' a few years of your time? Consider this money as accepted and then returned to you as compensation for your troubles. We're even from now on, okay?"
Her response caught Justin off guard.
He had always thought her involvement with his family was motivated by his wealth.
Justin's face darkened. "You'd better think this through. This is my final act of kindness towards you. If you keep being pretentious, you'll never get the same chance twice even if you bother me endlessly in the future!"
Cecilia felt a chill upon hearing Justin's words.
"Rest assured, Mr. Quinn, I'll thrive on my own without you. Doubt I'll have time to bother you," she retorte
