Fang patiently waited at the curb while I made my way to my house, feeling a tinge of embarrassment even though there was nothing to be ashamed of. After all, anyone seeing me in broad daylight, wearing a little black dress and fabulous shoes, might jump to conclusions. Nevertheless, it was a relief that Fang wasn't much of a talker.
