By five in the afternoon, I rushed my way to my apartment and took a half bath. I began searching for something nice to wear for tonight. I pulled out all of my clothes from my cabinet, contemplating about what I was going to wear for my dinner with Dillion. I was thinking about going for a dress or something casual but sexy. I want to please him with how I look. I want him to remember me before he leaves New York.
Of course I'm f*****g excited for dinner.
It's been seven months since I've deprived myself from going out to have dinner with the opposite s*x and I think I should let myself hang out with Dillion since he's a very nice and respectable man. He is insanely hot too. Let's admit it, I'm awed by how gorgeous he is. Irresistible.
Me: Just got out from class. Is that dinner still on?
I began to put a light make up on just to look a little pleasing to Dillion.
Dillion: Of course it is. I won't want to miss it. Pick you up at 7? Text me your address :)
That smiley at the end of the message makes me feel happier and even more excited. I texted Dillion my home address and even though I have an exam tomorrow I wouldn't want to miss this kind of opportunity to have dinner with such a very goodlooking man.
I continued looking for what I was going to wear and once I've decided, I quickly wore it on myself. I stood in front of my mirror and tried to observe if what I was wearing was already nice. I don't know if this dinner was going to be formal or not, I should've asked him. I don't know where he was gonna take me too so I don't have an idea what appropriate clothes to wear.
Suddenly a knock came by the door. I glared at my watch, it was already seven in the evening. He's already here. I quickly fixed myself and rushed to the door. Once I swing it open, there he was, standing right in front of me wearing some black tight pants, white pair of Adidas sneakers and a red polo shirt.
Seriously, him and polo shirts are a perfect match.
"Hi." He greets with a smile.
Ahhhhh he's so handsome on a red.
"Hey." I smile back.
"You look beautiful. Wow." He bites his lower lip briefly.
I chuckle shyly. "Thanks."
"Ready to go?"
"I'll just get my purse and my jacket."
I walked back inside and grabbed my stuff then went out of my apartment with him. Once I've locked the door, I faced Dillion and noticed that he was looking at me eagerly. Seriously.
"Is... Is there something wrong?" I ask.
He smiles as he shakes his head. "Nothing is wrong. You're just so stunning right now. I can't stop looking at you."
My heart begins to beat so fast with the words he said to me.
I smile sheepishly. "Thanks."
He carefully slipped his hands to mine and held my hand tight. He takes a look into my eyes then smiled at me, "Let me hold this hand." He says.
I nod at him but I try to calm myself down. We started walking together, hand in hand, while my heart was beating faster. The longer I stare at our hands entwined with each other, the more I get nervous of my hands becoming sweaty.
Fuck, he's so handsome.
I can't help but feel so tense around him while he's holding my hand so casually. He smells so manly too. Now it makes me wonder if he's taken or not. I hope he's not taken, I don't want his girlfriend to fight me because he cheated on her.
We begin to walk out from my apartment and quickly got into his black Cadillac. I got to ride a Cadillac twice for this day and it actually feels nice to be in this kind of luxury car. The interior looked sleek, it fitted how Dillion looked.
"So, where are we going to have dinner?" I ask.
"There's this restaurant I've been wanting to dine in three days ago." He tells me.
"Is it too fancy? I hope what I'm wearing didn't clash."
He grins. "You look very pretty, you don't need to worry about that."
We finally arrived at this upscale restaurant in midtown. It was a very very fancy restaurant and it made me feel embarrass of where I took Dillion to lunch a while ago. It couldn't even compete to how this restaurant actually look ravishing. I mean look at the interior, it's like all of the things inside this restaurant is expensive.
The waiter by the front door smiled at us, "Good evening Mr. Cole."
Dillion smiled tight lipped. "Good evening."
The waiter begins to show us where we were going to sit. Oh, Dillion even reserved a table. Our table was found on the center of the restaurant which I could see everyone from where I sat down. He pulled a chair for me and he sat right across me. He smiles at me before accepting the menu from the waiter.
"I'm Miguel. I'll be your waiter for tonight, mam. Sir." The waiter greeted with such a pleasant smile.
"What are you going to have for dinner, Tate?" Dillion asked as he pulled his up to look at me.
"Well... I don't know, the names looked like their in French." I scanned through the menu
Dillion chuckles. "I'll order for us, would that be fine?"
I nod.
When Dillion was done ordering for us, the waiter left and my eyes were still looking at the other guests that were around tonight. Good thing I wore a tight black dress, at least it could go well with the decency of the people around here.
"I have never been in a restaurant as fancy as this place." I say, moving my eyes back to Dillion.
He smiles, "It's a French-Spanish restaurant. I ordered a few Spanish dishes for us."
"A few? Is it going to be a lot?"
He chuckles softly. "I think we can finish all of it. Don't worry."
I smile. "Now I'm totally embarrassed on where I took you to lunch a while ago."
"Why would that embarrass you?" He ask.
"because this place is so expensive and I took you to somewhere so cheap." I snorted.
"That place was totally awesome, you don't have to embarrass by it." He smiles.
After twenty minutes, our foods were finally served. Dillion was right. He really ordered a few French and Spanish delicious looking dishes and I am indeed salivating with how the foods were presentably served on the plates. We begin to eat together and started to talk more about ourselves. I was enjoying my time with Dillion, to be honest.
"Dillion, I was wondering..." I trailed off.
He looks at me under his lashes, "You're wondering about what?"
"I hope your girlfriend won't mind us having lunch and dinner together."
He grins then wiped the corner of his lips with the table napkin. "I haven't been seeing anyone lately. So I think no one will get mad at me if I go out with you."
Oh s**t that means he's single.
"Are you seeing someone?" He asks me so seriously.
"I've been single for seven months." I smile sheepishly at him.
"Well I've been single for a year now."
I gaped. "Kidding?"
He shakes his head. "Not."
I can't believe he's single. A year? A whole year? He's really actually single. He's been single for one year. That's something hard to believe.
"Why do you seem surprised?" He ask.
"Well, because you look like you're a nice man. You're a college graduate. You're fun to be with. You're very goodlooking and you're definitely hot." I say with all honesty and casually.
"You find me hot?" He grins while arching an eyebrow at me.
I gaped.
My eyes widened and I just realized that I said he's hot in front of him. f**k.
Oh f**k.
I bite my inner cheek.
"I... I did?" I ask shyly.
He nods. "You just did."
Holy s**t.
Damn Tate! Breathe Tate. I tell myself.
Now how are you going to lie to him? He heard it clearly from you that you just called him hot. Oh Jesus, of all words that I could tell him why did it have to be hot? It could've been cool or manly.
"Well, you are...." I trailed off as I glare at him while he was still smiling at me.
"Hot." I say softly.
He chuckles.
"Damn I'm so tactless sometimes." I muffled to myself.
He continued to laugh softly.
"That was so embarrassing." I added.
"Well, thank you for saying I'm hot."
I squeezed my eyes shut briefly.
"I'm sorry." I say.
"You're apologizing because?"
We went quiet for a few seconds and just stared at each other. I don't know why I said I was sorry too.
"For calling you hot?" I chimed.
He laughs. "Oh Tate, you make me laugh all the time."
I smile shyly.
But my smile fades right away on my face when my eyes landed to someone from the other table right across ours that I didn't wanted to see. I didn't know he would actually be here at the same restaurant too. I didn't expect to see him again.
"Tate?" Dillion calls out. "Are you okay?"
His green eyes meet mine and I quickly look away. I stare back at Dillion.
"What's wrong?" He asks me again.
"Nothing." I glared at the table across me.
Fuck he's still staring.
I grab my water and take a drink from it.
"Are you sure you're fine?" He asks.
"Yes. I am. Uhh, this... This dish is really great." I changed the topic but kept my eyes on my plate.
I pulled my head up and Dillion was already taking a glance from behind him on where I was looking a while ago. He settles back to look at me again.
"Who were you looking at?" He asks.
I look at the other table, he's gone.
Fuck, was I hallucinating?
Did I really see him?
I blink a few more times but he's really not here. He's really not sitting there.
I exhale heavily. "Nobody."
I gasped and nearly jumped from my chair when I felt a huge hand holding my right shoulder. I almost had a heart attack when I saw him standing right next to me. He smiles down at me.
Holy s**t, I wasn't really hallucinating.
"Hey." He greets.
My eyes jumped from my sockets.
"It's so good to see you again." He adds.
My head travelled to Dillion who looked like he was shock.
"Aren't you going to introduce me?" He asked me while he eyes back at Dillion.
He pulled the chair that was next to me and joined our table. I'm getting more and more and more nervous. It's the first time I've seen him again. Holy s**t relax Tate.
Dillion locked his eyes at me now.
"This is..." I say nervously.
I exhale heavily and felt his arm spread on the back of my chair.
"This is... Adam." I introduced.
I glared at Adam and he still has that distracting, annoying and evil smile on his face. I used to love that smile but now I hate it to death. I internally hate it.
I.
Hate.
Him.
"Adam Stanton." I say his name.
Dillion glared at Adam then moved his eyes back at me.
"This is Dillion Cole." I introduced him to Adam. "My good friend." I added.
"Hey man. Nice to meet you." Dillion says.
"Of course I know him." Adam snapped.
I exhale heavily. I don't want the way the air goes around here on this table.
"He's the most famous man discovered last year. He's the world's youngest photographer that had multiple awards for one event. First time in a very long time, I must say. I'm amazed. I've read news about you dude, this man has an insane lucrative career." Adam says with hatred in his voice.
My eyes moved to Dillion and he looked displeased. Dillion Cole is a young man producing so much wealth? This money?
"His father owns a few banks. He made his way as a well-respected photographer for scenic and portrait pictures. Now he has started his way in fashion photography industry and won tons of awards around the globe. Who doesn't know such a respected man?" Adam says.
Uhhh, me? I don't know who exactly he is. All I knew about him was the fact that he graduated photography WSU. That's it.
My eyes moved to Dillion.
Who is he? Really?
Dillion's eyes looked guilty as he bent his head down and looked shy.
"This man's f*****g rich." He spits.
"Adam." I snapped.
Adam chuckles. "Wow Tate. You leveled up. I mean, you're now dating a very famous man. Wow. You needed that kind of money huh?"
I gaped.
"And nice hair." Adam grins while flickering the ends of my hair.
I pull my head away from him. Ugh! And that annoying grin is getting more annoying. I wanna scrape it off from his face and glue it on his ass.
"Pardon me." Dillion interrupts.
I've always hated him when he's so cocky and so arrogant and so so full of himself.
"First of all, we are having a private dinner together. Exclusively between me and Tate alone. I clearly remember not inviting you over our table." Dillion's begins to say.
I glare at Adam and he's starting to get pissed off too.
"Secondly, whatever I have with Tate right now doesn't really really concern you...at all." Dillion c****d his head sideways.
Adam grins, "If you don't know. I'm Tate's ex-boyfriend."
"I don't actually give a f**k if you're her ex-boyfriend." Dillion spat back.
I grin and bent my head down.
"I think you don't have any right with whatever and whoever Tate goes out with anymore. That's why you put an EX before the word boyfriend, because you're already the ex." Dillion continued to say.
I press my lips together and begin to bite my inner cheek. Go sassy Dillion. I mentally cheered.
Dillion glares at me, "And lastly, don't you ever say anything like that about Tate."
Dillion leans closer and rested his elbows on the table. He looks at Adam angrily. "If you disrespect such a beautiful woman as Tate like that once more, I will surely make you pay."
Adam keeps his boastful composure together, crosses his arms against his chest and grins at Dillion as if it fits him. This little son of a b***h makes me furious as hell.
"And you're a man right?" Dillion asks while he picks up his glass of white wine.
"Don't be such a p***y and be a bit of a grown up with your mouth. You're too girly." Dillion spits then takes a drink from his glass. He raise his finger up, "Waiter. The bill please."
When the bill reached our table, Dillion quickly paid for it. He stands and I stood with him. Adam stands from his chair too and Dillion walked towards me and rested his arm on the bottom of spine.
Dillion extended a hand to Adam. "It was nice to meet you, Mr. Stanton."
Adam accepts and I see their hands held tight on each other. "Dillion Cole." He spits.
"Let's go, Tate." He tells me.
I glare at Adam, "Nice to see you again Adam. I didn't know you still didn't grew the f**k up."
