Suzy couldn't help but feel a twinge of impatience when she heard Doris' voice.
She raised her eyes to the window and saw Charles standing in place, staring at her.
"Giving up everything in the first place, for a family like this?" Brandon asked.
" No business with you." Suzy withdrew her gaze with a cold look on her face, "The money you just gave him, I'll pay you back when I get back to Smith's."
"Suzy, we don't need any formality between us. We will be a family soon." Brandon's lips were tinged with a smile.
Suzy asked in return, "Did I say I'd marry you?"
" Well, it's okay, you'll say yes sooner or later." Brandon gave a meaningful smile, Suzy always felt that he was hiding something from her.
"Now there are already rumors about you stealing the necklace on the internet, do you need me to help you with it?"
Hearing Brandon say that, Suzy took out her phone and saw that the number one trending topic was:
#MrsWolfson steals jewelry, gets kicked out of family home
#Mr. Wolfson confronted the other man in front of the police station.
In the picture is her back pulling the suitcase away and the scene just in the front of the police station where Charles and Brandon confronted each other.
Suzy's eyes narrowed slightly as Brandon showed too much interest in the Wolfson family's business.
"No." Suzy finished and dialed a phone call.
"Help me investigate the major auctions as well as the casinos to see if there is the whereabouts of that necklace, also prepare a Twitter account for me."
"You are not soft-hearted." Brandon didn't drive far when the ear-splitting sound of brakes suddenly rang in Suzy's ears.
She subconsciously reached out and braced herself to avoid slamming into the seat in front of her.
"What the hell!" Brandon cursed.
Suzy looked up and saw the black car in front of them, then Charles stepped out of the car and jerked the door open.
He pulled her out of the car without a second thought, and Suzy struggled and shouted, " Leave me alone!"
But the next second, she was already in his arms.
"Charles put me down!" Suzy punched him in the chest one after another.
Charles' eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes seemed to be holding back pain as he carried Suzy and threw her directly into the car.
When Brandon reacted, the car had already driven away.
"Charles, stop the car! Let me out!" Suzy screamed angrily at Charles.
However, he did not say anything, just frowned.
Suddenly, Brandon's car caught up with him, so Charles immediately speeded up.
They collided on a tight bend and both cars were extensively damaged.
BANG!
Suzy subconsciously crumpled up.
"Charles!!!" Suzy shrieked!
Then a tall figure suddenly enveloped her.
"Charles?!" A heavy force pressed down on Suzy's body and she called out his name.
But there was no response.
The warm liquid flowed down Charles' cheeks, and the thick smell of blood overflowed in her nose.
"Charles! Wake up!" Suzy tried to break away from Charles, but his hands held her tightly.
She doesn't know how long it took for the two to be rescued, but Brandon held the frightened Suzy in his arms and kept comforting her.
Suzy couldn't stop staring at Charles, who was taken away by ambulance.
The image of what had just happened came to her mind, she was surprised. Her nose twitched.
Seeing that the ambulance door was about to close, she thought nothing of breaking away from Brandon and stepping on it.
"I'm his wife, let me follow along."
Outside the ER, Suzy paced anxiously.
As she watched the door open, she rushed up and asked, "Doctor, is he okay?"
"Mr Wolfson is fine, he just suffered an impact on his head, but he extracted too many stem cells that caused damage to his body, so he is in an emotional coma and needs to have more rest."
Hearing this, Suzy's hanging heart finally fell, and she couldn't think much about it and followed the nurse to push Charles into the ward. Before she could sit down, a woman pushed the door and entered.
Suzy looked up and saw Joy standing in front of her with a pale face.
She was dressed in a hospital gown, with most of the catheter still exposed in her arm, and she looked sick.
"Is Charles ...... all right?" Joy asked worriedly.
Suzy swept a glance at her, collected her gaze, and said in an indifferent tone, "You're in such a state, but you still remember to come over to take a look, it's thoughtful."
Joy wanted to say something else, but suddenly a nurse entered the room and approached Joy with a worried face, "Joy, why are you here? The stem cell transplant trial cannot be interrupted, come back with me."
Stem cell transplantation?
Suzy's mind recalled the doctor's words, so the reason why Charles extracted so many stem cells was for Joy.
Her heart felt like it was suddenly gripped hard by an invisible hand and she couldn't breathe.
"I know, let's go back now." Joy glanced at Suzy.
However, all of this was caught by Suzy.
Watching Joy leave, Suzy stopped and stood up suddenly, "Wait."
Joy paused in place, slowly turned around, and asked weakly in her soft voice, "What is it, Miss Smith?"
Suzy sneered.
She looked straight at Joy and said, "You don't have to act with me."
Joy's smile was a little stiff, "I don't quite understand what Miss Smith means."
"Charles has been delivered to the hospital for a while, you chose to show up at this time, you deliberately let me know that you are conducting a stem cell transplantation. The purpose of this is to tell me that Charles is doing it for you, am I right?
Besides, Charles is still in a coma, you didn't even mean to stay, so you came for the simple purpose."
Suzy's eyes were suddenly clouded with a mocking smile.
She stepped closer to Joy, "You sent me those photos, and you were the one who made the news that was trending."
Shock flashed across Joy's face, but she soon regained her composure.
Being exposed to the face, there is no need for Joy to keep on pretending. She smiled faintly, "They say Charles married a country girl, but now they find out you are not. Unfortunately, no matter how smart you are, you are not good enough for Charles after all."
Suzy swept past the woman in front of her indifferently and spat out, "Indeed."
In these years, although the Wolfson family is flourishing under the authority of Charles, however, compared to the Smith…The Wolfson's are just an upstart.
In the beginning, Suzy was touched by the fact that Charles had saved her life, but now ......
She felt like a fool!
"Since you went to all the trouble to get us divorced, take care of him." Suzy turned around, but just as she was passing Joy, a hand suddenly grabbed her.
Suzy looked up and saw Joy's face change, "Suzy, I'm the one Charles loves! Don't even think about taking him away from me!"
Suzy laughed, her eyes locked on her face, "Don't worry, I'm not interested in the trash that's already been thrown away!"
Suzy shook off Joy's hand and walked straight away. Neither of them noticed Charles whose eyes were slightly opened.
