My brother and his mate follow me to Melissa and my room. I didn’t mean to rush outside without thinking, but I was on a high after watching my son enter the world. The first person I wanted to tell was Drew.
I tried mind-linking Drew, but I got no answer. My mom said Drew was out on a walk with Emery, so I took off to find them. I blurted out my son had been born before I could even think about it. I saw the look on Emery’s face, even if it was fleeting. She was wondering what it would be like to be in Melissa’s position.

“Sorry.” I don’t slow down. I’m too eager to get back to my mate and newborn son. I’ve never felt this kind of happiness.
