“Finally, I’m being released today!” I said as the doctor gave me my discharge papers. I wasn’t sure how much I could take being cooped up in this hospital. I was ready to go home to my pups and start getting back to some normalcy.
I was finishing getting dressed, when an unfamiliar scent filled my nose. I turned around but there was no one in the room with me. Confused, I quickly put my boots on and walked into the bathroom. I still looked like a mess with my busted lip and bruised face, it was healing fast thanks to Flora’s help, but it didn’t help with my feelings.
I’m sorry I couldn’t protect our pup. Flora said.
It’s not your fault. I wasn’t strong enough. I told her.
