Chapter 14The next few days passed in a whirl for Blair. One of the other pharmacists in Joshua’s business fell sick which meant Joshua and the remaining partner had to cover his shifts as well as their own. Joshua had offered to cover the late shifts first and so Blair had barely seen him. In addition to Joshua’s late hours, Blair had made a tentative return to his own job. He couldn’t do a full shift, but to his delight he could do a couple of hours and ACC were willing to allow him a partial return. The real blight on Blair’s horizon was Kian. Blair had unintentionally overheard Joshua and Kian arguing over Kian moving out. Kian’s convinced I have something to hide—and he’s right. I can’t keep my past a secret if I want to move forward. I’d forgotten just how much I’d put life on hold
