Chapter 5Humming to himself, Joshua pulled into a parking space outside the hospital and got out of the car. Trotting inside, Joshua whistled tunelessly. To his delight all had gone well for Blair. When he’d visited him the previous evening, it was hard to reconcile the gorgeous—if pale faced—man in the bed with the one he’d virtually pulled out of the mud.
His hair washed and clean shaven, Blair’s transformation had almost taken Joshua’s breath away. The lank muddied tresses were now glorious shoulder-length auburn curls. I knew he had a special something, but it’s like seeing a completely different man. Now I’ve had the green light to collect him. I’m sure his dogs knew I was coming for him—and the cat.
