In the darkness of the night, I cautiously walked out of Alpha Jacob's manor. I made sure that none of the guards patrolling in the area saw me. I was wearing overalls clothes and a hoodie so I could easily blend into the darkness of the night. I was secretly thankful that the moonlight was hiding in the dark clouds. It helped me conceal from the eyes of the people who were still awake at this hour.
To make no one would notice that I had gone out of the manor, I let Beth pretend to be me. I asked her to lie on my bed and covered her whole body with a blanket. This way, no one will know that I am not in my room but instead outside the manor. And my destination? In our old house.
