"You mean, you gave him money so he would stop bothering me?" I asked Ada in surprise when I heard her explanation. She said that she secretly talked to that man to beg him not to bother me anymore if he saw me walking on the street. The man agreed but he asked Ada for a lot of money. To make that person stop bothering me, Ada was forced to give in to the man's wish and give him what he wanted. That scene was what I saw earlier when I came out of the gate.
"You're right, Lilac. I did that for you," Ada answered after nodding.
"You don't have to do that, Ada." I took one of her hands and squeezed it slightly. I felt even more guilty because of what she did for me. I don't know how to tell her what Alpha Jacob told me. I want her to know that Alpha Jacob didn't choose
