Tae led Vesta through the circular room and through another door. Vesta found herself in a pale gray room with tables arranged in the center of the room. Circular lights were dotted along the flat ceiling. Seats were flat squares that were attached to the tables but could be pulled out and adjusted for height. Vesta watched Tae adjust a seat, then gesture for her to do the same. As she struggled, Tae leaned closer to help. His hand brushed hers and she pulled back in surprise. Vesta was taken back by the warmth of Tae's skin. She had always thought 'space people' would have cold, clammy skin.
