A short, delicate female crew member came onto the bridge and pushed past Vesta to sit down at the empty monitor. Vesta watched the red pulsing glow. The outerworld being in front of her began tapping the screen and drawing a line with her finger to a list of shapes. The glow began to get brighter, and the tapping faster.
Vesta watched and noticed, when the crew member touched the pulsing light and dragged her finger to a wavey, triangle shaped symbol, the symbol went blue and the red pulsing stopped. The trouble was the being couldn't keep up, and suddenly Vesta jumped forward to help. The crew member and Vesta soon had a steady blue glow coming from the screen.
“Well, I don't know what we did, but it looks good," Vesta breathed. She received a smile from the outerworld female.
