Saying goodbye to my chosen mate caused a kind of pain I couldn’t predict and hadn’t felt before. When she was begging for me to stay I could feel Caldra worked up and trying to take control so she could accept. The self control I had to assemble to turn her down was ridiculous. I’ve had to hold back from a lot as alpha, whether it was being too hasty in war or something completely else. But this, no this was the hardest.
