Jessica opened her eyes to find herself tied to the bed in a dim lighted room that looked like a basement. She propped herself up into a sitting position, her whole body hurting like she had been hit by a truck. A pungent smell she could not quite make out filled her nostrils. For the life of her she could not remember anything that happened to her after getting off the cab. The drip on her left hand and the clothes she was wearing would indicate that she did somehow end up in a hospital and someone brought her change of clothes because those were her clothes except she was not wearing them when she left the Spencer mansion.
