“You can’t just banish me!!!”; a girl with reddish orange hair screamed. Her blue-grey eyes screamed with rage. She looked at her father and her two elder sisters, who were shaking their head in disappointment.
“You should be grateful that you are not being beheaded.”; The eldest sister spoke in an impersonal voice, making the girl looked at her with disgust.
“SHUT UP!! YOU ARE NOT THE QUEEN YET!! Father, see how they treat me. They are framing me.”; She said in a pitiful voice. Her blue-grey eyes held tears she was trying to hold up. She does not want to be banished; she is a princess. How can she leave everything here?
“Leave before I regret my decision of not killing you.”; the King said. He turned around; he does not want to even look at her.
“Leave Abigail, before I do something to you.”; The second eldest said. Abigail frowned; she is not going to just leave like this. She looked at her father, who had his back turned around.
“Father, please”; she said in a trembling voice. She was about to take a step closer when suddenly a sword came to her neck. She looked up to see the second eldest sister holding the sword. She pressed harder on Abigail’s neck, drawing out blood.
Abigail looks at her sister with a pale face. She has never thought that they would go to such an extent.
“LEAVE NOW, from now on you are just Abigail and nothing else.”; the eldest spoke. Abigail looks at her father, who walked away, not even sparing a look at her. She took a step back and covered her wounded neck with her hand, trying to stop the bleeding as much as she could.
“Pack your bags, we want you out of Casuer the first thing in the morning.”; The eldest spoke, as both of the sisters looked at Abigail, who had no choice but to accept the decision.

“I heard you got a scholarship in the academy.”; Eleanor said. Aarav looked at her in a puzzled manner.
“Scholarship?”; Aarav asked.
“Yes, you came first in the entrance exam. That golden rim signifies you will be head doctor’s personal disciple and that you have a scholarship.”; Eleanor informed him. Aarav looked at the golden rim. He had not paid attention to it at all. But this is great, he does not have to owe more to the Griffith’s family and they can leave with little.
“I did not know this.”; Aarav spoke. Eleanor smiled as she sipped on the tea. He took a sip of the tea calmly, but deep down he was puzzled. Duchess never calls him unless he is with Aahana. This is the first time Eleanor has asked him to meet her personally.
“I know what you feel?”; Eleanor spoke out suddenly. He looked at her with confused eyes, making her smile.
“I know you doubt us.”; Eleanor clarified what she meant. He looked at her with raised eyebrows as he sat back a little calmly. He smiled, wanting her to continue.
“And I can understand this. You are in a new world; you know nothing here. You don’t know anyone. And we do not seem to be trustworthy, especially after we hid your identity and introduced you and your sister as our nephew and niece.”; Eleanor spoke out.
“Why are you telling me that?”; Aarav questioned. What is she trying to do? Is she trying to show how everything is under her control? How they can hide nothing from her? Is she threatening him?
“Because I want you to know, that you don’t owe us anything. You can leave whenever you want. Just wait till you have sufficient funds and when you do, we won’t stop you. I promise.”; Eleanor said. She had a small yet sad smile.
Eleanor knows she cannot stop Aahana. She might not remember them yet, her subconscious does. She always flinches when she sees Anderson or her sons. She saw how Aahana took a step back when she saw Augustus. She knows her daughter does not feel comfortable here. She is afraid and does not want to live in this mansion.
Aahana was never given a choice when she was born here. She was always seen as someone wrong. She could not even do what she wanted to do. She was suppressed at every moment. But now that her mother is alive, she won’t let that happen, even if it means that she has to let her daughter drift away.
Eleanor scoffed internally. Whom is she kidding? She has the same soul, but she knows Aahana wants nothing to do with Griffith family. Eleanor knows she was selfish, wanting to keep her daughter with her, even if she does not remember. Even if she is from a different world. But she cannot stop the inevitable. She cannot even think what would happen if Aahana comes to remember everything.
She just wants Aahana to live her life on her own terms. Her daughter has a family now, she has an elder brother who loves her with all his heart. He has seen how he narrows his eyes whenever her sons or her husband try to get close to Aahana. She saw how he stepped in front of Aahana when Augustus came. He never left her bed when she was unconscious.
She has a family. This is a hard statement for her to digest. Her daughter has someone she calls family, and that is not her. Eleanor smiled at Aarav, who looked at her in confusion. He saw how her eyes showed the entire spectrum of emotions, from happy to cheerful to sad. Why is she sad? He could not help but think. He mentally slapped himself. He should not think about this. He has seen many people who emotionally manipulate people.
“I should go now. I have to pick up Aahana.”; Aarav said. Eleanor nodded as she watched the boy walking away with a sad smile on her face. She can do nothing but watch her daughter drifting away.
