Tell Me Everything Pt. 2

I shrugged, “That’s fine too.” He asked, “What are you doing here? And who have you been drinking with…based on the smell….I’d got with a fairy.” I snorted, “My cousin, Aiylee.” Cayden smiled, “And what are you doing here?” I frowned, “Hey...I can come here anytime I want. Especially now... but I could before anyway.” Cayden laughed, “Oh….I’d prefer if you’d come here very often. I know an evasion when I see one, Cassie Conners. I mean why are you in a field overlooking the outdoor training facility.” My cheeks turned red. I smiled, “It’s beautiful out here.” Cayden smiled, “Even more so now.” I laughed, “You’re….” Cayden smiled, “Yours.” I smiled, “Yes, mine.” I buried myself in his chest and inhaled his scent. Cayden nuzzled my neck and asked, “Were you by chance looking for me, my duchess?” I giggled, “Maybe….Maybe Alexander and EJ said they were sparring with you, and I wanted to see you. You’re always so busy.” Cayden nodded, “So are you.” I smacked his arm. He bit his lip, “What was that for?” I frowned, “For being late! I should’ve met you at Uncle Bjourn’s coronation, but you had to go and be delayed.” Cayden smiled, “I do apologize that you had to wait, my Duchess.” I smiled, “Forgiven….How long are you here for?” Cayden instantly frowned, “I have plans tomorrow here then I leave again….for a while.” I frowned, “Oh…” Cayden tilted my head up, “I’m so sorry Cass. I wouldn’t have taken the mission….if I’d known.” I nodded, “I understand. When do you come back?” Cayden sighed, “Around your eighteenth birthday.” I gaped, “That’s months away!”              Cayden tugged me tightly against him, “I know...I’m so sorry Cass… I’m so sorry. I didn’t know.” I frowned, “What do we do?” Cayden sighed, “I want to do this right. I know your dad is a werewolf. They wait until they are eighteen anyway.” I frowned, “EJ and Wesley have their mates already.” Cayden kissed me softly. He pulled back, “I think we both know you getting your mate will not be the same as your brothers.” I sighed, “That's Not fair.” Cayden smiled, “There’s your fairy side. I know it’s not fair, but I have a little sister too. I get it. If I wasn’t leaving….I’d portal us to your dad right now. I couldn’t be away from you. Since I am leaving though….I think the second I get back I’ll talk to him.” I nodded, “Ok.” It hurt. I wanted to stay with him until he left. He kissed my forehead, “You don’t have to wait for me to get back if you don’t want to either. I won’t be upset if you’re dating other guys.” Rain whimpered in my head. I frowned. I didn’t want that. I just wanted him. Did….did he mean he wanted other girls while he was gone? We weren’t marked….he was leaving. Was that why he said that? Rain spoke softly, “Ask him Cassie.” I linked back, “And appear like a clingy girl?” Rain sighed, “It’s not clingy, you are his mate.” She might have a point, but I couldn’t bring myself to ask. This was how Cayden was raised. Off periods. Once we were marked….he couldn't have one. Rain sighed, “If you talked to him now we wouldn’t have one. Tell him how you feel! The relationships here are based on love and respect. He would not disrespect you if you told him you felt that way. He could have other reasons.”              Cayden sat down and pulled me into his lap. He cupped my face, “You are so beautiful, my Duchess.” I blushed. He smiled, “I love that blush.” I leaned down and kissed him again. He responded and pulled on my hair lightly. Things were getting intense. Cayden pulled back, “Have you done this before?” I shook my head. He closed his eyes, “I won’t have your first time be out here in a field.” I frowned, “Have you done this before?” Cayden snorted, “Once.” I was surprised. That was not the standard for the Hackura. Usually by his age….it was a much higher number. He was twenty after all. Cayden smirked, “You’re surprised right?” I nodded. Cayden shrugged, “I don’t have much free time. I had a girlfriend in high school….she wanted to have s*x, so we did. I came back from a mission to find….she was f*****g someone else.” I hissed, “That b***h! I’ll kick her ass! Did you think you were still together?” Cayden laughed, “I did, but I can’t say I cared too much. No need to get all….golden eyed about it.” Oh I’d FIND her name….she was GOING to be in my tournament. I smirked, “You’ll just be in for it with me Cayden Crawford. I’m stealthy and mischievous.” Cayden smirked, “Bring it on Cassie Conners. I can handle it.” I laughed, “We will see I guess.”              I snapped us a blanket and we laid down. I asked, “What’s it like? Training to take over the army here?” Cayden smiled, “It’s intense, but I love it. I go on a lot of missions. All different types so I know when I start helping Uncle Bjourn decide….” I laughed, “It’s weird that he’s my uncle and yours.” Cayden snorted, “We are not related, Cassie. My aunt married your uncle….He’s my uncle through marriage. He’s yours through blood.” I laughed, “I know. It’s still funny.” Cayden smirked, “Ok….when I start helping decide who goes on what missions I need to know what I’m sending people out on. So...I take every type of mission. I have to know where I’m sending my people. I spend a lot of time training and fighting here. My men and women need to know who is in charge.” Rain purred, “Oh, it’s so him. He IS in charge.” I smirked, “Yes, he is.” Cayden continued, “I fight and give pointers. We run drills and formations in preparation should we be needed to attack. I have to decide my squads and their leaders. For certain things….we may bring a portion of the army instead of the whole army.” I nodded, “Got it. You really are a busy man. Good thing I’m a fast runner and I can keep up.”              Cayden smirked, “That is a good thing then.” I laughed, “I do Uncle Bjourn’s cardio program too, Mr. Cayden Crawford.” Cayden asked, “What do you run in?” I snapped myself into my running gear. I usually wore mostly black yoga pants with a white stripe on them. With a v cut black sports bra with white stripes across the band. Aunt Lexi had given it to me for Christmas this year, and it was my favorite running outfit. Cayden groaned, “Oh f**k me….” His lips were on mine. He rolled on top of me. I ran my hands down his chiseled back. I could feel something hard poking my thigh. I blushed when I realized what it was. Cayden cupped my breast. I moaned as he rubbed his thumb across my n****e. I pulled him closer to me. Then I heard someone coming. I groaned, “I hear someone coming.” Cayden hissed, “I will kill them.” He stood. I bit my lip. He was huge. How the HELL was that supposed to fit in me?! Cayden caught my gaze and smile, “If you keep looking at me like that my Duchess…..the last tether of control I have will snap. I smiled, “I’ll be good.” Cayden laughed, “Why don’t I believe that?” I shrugged, “I can’t lie so…..that’s really on you.” He kissed me.              When we parted I asked, “Do you want me to go?” Cayden frowned, “What? No.” I frowned, “But you don’t want to talk to my dad until you get back from your mission…..by the way it’s Jed that’s coming back. I can smell him.” Cayden rolled his eyes. He yelled, “JED! GO THE f**k AWAY UNLESS IT’S THE BEST GODDAMN EMERGENCY OF YOUR LIFE!” Jed stopped running. He muttered, “How did he know I was coming? Jesus, that guy is cranky.” I snickered, “He’s wondering how you know it was him.” Cayden smirked, “So you have hearing like your brothers do?” I nodded, “Yup.” That gave me an idea. My brothers would know who Cayden’s girlfriend in high school was. That was too obvious though. My Aunt Astrid was the better choice. Or one of my Uncle’s mates...then I just had to make sure….she was in my tournament. I would so kick her ass for cheating on my mate. Jed was still debating, “Well….best emergency of my life…..it’s really not...he was in a MOOD earlier….I’ll tell him later.” I got onto my knees and pressed back into Cayden, “He’s leaving.” Cayden trailed his fingertips down my skin causing goosebumps to form on my arms.              He rubbed his thumb on my face once he reached it. He whispered in the most seductive tone I’d ever heard, “Tell me all about you, my Duchess.” I laughed, “What do you want to know?” Cayden smiled, “Everything.” I smiled, “That’s a broad topic….ummm I’m Cassie….sometimes I debate going by Veronica instead because my first name was to honor my Grandma Cassandra Conners….I’m really glad Cassandra isn’t my name because I’d change it. I feel like a b***h for speaking ill of a dead women….but I really didn’t like her. She didn’t like me because I looked like my mom.”          Cayden frowned, “Excuse me?” I sighed, “She had this whole thing with my mom…” Cayden said, “Oh, I know. I heard about it from Aunt Astrid…..She was not a fan of your grandmother….You’re saying that grandmother didn’t treat you well? If so...then SHE is lucky she is dead.” I sighed, “She just didn’t like me because I looked like my mom. I wasn’t sad when she died. I feel like I should feel bad about that, but I only felt bad because my dad was sad….so were my grandpa and my uncles. She died over something so freaking stupid too. Her damn garden. She couldn’t keep a garden alive if her life depended on it. She honestly caused far too many problems in the time I knew her. Anyway…..I’ve really wanted to get in touch with all sides of myself. That’s why I spent a whole month in Faerie without leaving. I’m the most talented earth fairy in my family besides Julian….he can turn people into trees….or make the tree...for lack of a better word….eat people and spit out their pieces...almost like an explosion.”             Cayden laughed. I smiled at him. I continued, “My cousin Aiylee….is more like my best friend. She’s happily mated with Exsis….they are pretty cute together. I’m the proud big sister of eighteen really cool guys and one adorable already  incredibly mischievous three-year-old little sister. I am REALLY good with samurai swords if I do say so myself. I think Angela will be too. We have so much of our mom in us. I’ve always wanted to meet my mate, I just don’t advertise that lest my eighteen brothers, nine Hackura uncles, three wolf uncles, and my dad’s head explode.” Cayden laughed. I thought about it then added, “I’m the truth seeker. I can also shoot sunlight out of my hands and call the wind. I can’t take air like my mom, but I can take air from the air itself and create a tornado. I can’t take people’s air though.” Cayden smiled, “Show me.” I held my hand out and took the air from the sky and transferred it into a tornado. Just a small one. I quickly released the air, so no one started yelling about a tornado. Cayden clapped, “Very nice, My duchess.” I smiled. My phone buzzed. I groaned. I pulled it out.    EJ: Where are you?  Me: Around. Why? EJ: Dad wants us to have dinner together since Wes and Max are….needing family right now. Me: When? EJ: Ten Minutes. Me: I’ll be there.   I sighed, “I have to go in... eight minutes.” Cayden frowned, “I can’t say I care for that.” It was on the tip of my tongue to invite him to dinner, but he didn’t want to announce we were mates yet. Cayden took my phone and put his number in it. I asked, “Is that your burner number?” Cayden smiled, “No, that’s my real phone. Text me later….I’ll memorize the number and contact you from my burner. We will talk every day, Cass. I swear. No matter what….I’ll call or text you.” He kissed me and pulled back, “God...I don’t know how I’ll do this.” I smiled, “Well….I can always pop in...or portal. I can do both, ya know?” Cayden kissed me and slid his tongue in my mouth. His hands dug into my hair. He pulled back, “I might just hold you to that, my duchess. I think I’m already addicted to you.” I smiled, “I think I am addicted to you too.” We kissed for a few more minutes before I had to go.             I popped to my room. I jumped into the shower. I snapped myself into a dress and popped to dinner. My dad hugged me, “Did you have fun with Aiylee?” I smiled, “Yes, I did. She was upset, but we got to talking….which led to laughing.” Alexander linked me, “You got to drinking didn’t you?” I linked back, “So?” Alexander smiled. We all sat down and ate dinner together. Angela smiled broadly at me. I winked back. The little path seeing mischievous fairy probably knew my secret. After dinner I popped upstairs and took out my phone and looked for Cayden’s name. It wasn’t under C. I scrolled through my phone then laughed when I found it.     Me: You could’ve told me you didn’t put yourself in my phone as your name My Commander: Ahhh but my Duchess….I have to keep up with my mate. Gotta keep you on your toes. Can’t have you getting bored with me already. Me: Do you always have to make me blush? My Commander: Yes. You look gorgeous when you blush, and I find I’m addicted to it. Me: :P you are ridiculous. My Commander: Over you. Yes. I’ve always wanted to meet you. Now I know why. Me: Same...you should send my cousin Aiylee a fruit basket. She told me to pop and see if you were as hot as I imagined you were. Or as good a kisser as I imagined  My Commander: You imagined I was hot? You wanted to kiss me? Me: Your name is hot and you’re the future commander of the Hackura army. You had to be hot. I definitely wanted to kiss you, and I must say….You get an A+ in kissing. My Commander: I’m glad you think so. On both accounts. You are the best kisser I’ve ever kissed...So you’ve got that going for you. Me: Oh...I know you’re hot so….I’m already preparing to cut a b***h when they come for my mate. My mom has a great process for those bitches, and I plan to follow it. My Commander: That’s hot my duchess.  Me: Well…. My Commander: I’ve got to go to bed. I’ll talk to you soon, My Duchess. Me: Goodnight, my commander. My Commander: And….now I have to go take a VERY cold shower before I go to bed.   I laughed. That was his fault. He put himself in my phone as My Commander. I liked it too. I was going to call him that...often. I closed my eyes. Really happy with my life. When I woke up I helped my mom with TJ and Angela until it was time to take their nap. We’d just stepped out of the room when my mom said, “You seem very happy Cass.” I smiled, “I really am mom.” She gave me a knowing look and said, “I’m glad.” That was the great thing about my mom. She didn’t push if she didn’t think you were in danger. She waited for you to talk to her. I knew she’d be the only one who caught on. Maybe my aunts too….but the guys...they would much rather bury their heads in the sand when it came to me and dating…. or just physical attraction of any kind.              I popped outside. I heard Alexander and EJ laughing. I headed in their direction. EJ said, “So since Cayden’s got his hot date….we can’t spar with him today.” My heart dropped to my feet. Rain whimpered, “But….mate..” I linked, “We aren’t marked. He said we could do what we wanted since he was leaving. He’s Hackura.” I popped away. Alexander was in my treehouse a second later. He frowned, “Cass?” I wiped tears from my eyes, “Just….I need space Alexander.” Alexander frowned, “What hurt your feelings? You are sad….almost devastated Cass….no it’s devastated.” I cried, “LEAVE ME ALONE!” He stepped back surprised. He came over and held me in his arms as I cried. These were the plans Cayden mentioned the other day? He had a date? Why didn’t he cancel it for me? Did he really like whoever his date was with? Was he being nice? EJ called her hot. Was I not pretty enough?              I pulled away from Alexander. He whispered, “Cass...talk to me.” His eyes were blazing gold. I shook my head, “I’m….just….I need some time.” Alexander frowned, “I’ll kick someone's ass into a bloody mess, Cass.” I didn’t want him to fight Cayden. I shook my head, “I just… want to be alone.” Alexander sighed, “Ok….but if I feel more things like this….I’m coming back.” I nodded and whispered, “Ok.” I cried my eyes out after he left. It hurt. A date….not just a date. A hot date. Why did she have to be hot? I wiped my tears and asked myself out loud, “What would Aiylee do?” I knew the answer instantly. Go on a date herself. That’s what Aiylee would do.              At that moment my phone rang. I sighed. An earth fairy I’d met when I was fourteen was calling. I answered, “Hello Gystepi.” Gystepi sounded excited, “Hello Duchess Cassie. I was hoping this time would be my moment. Would you like to go on a date with me?” His timing couldn’t have been more apt. I said, “As a matter of fact, I would. What time?” Gystepi was surprised, “Wow...ok….Can you be ready in an hour?” I answered, “Of course.” I hung up and popped to my room. I took a quick shower then snapped on some light makeup. I threw my hair into a high ponytail and snapped it curled. I put on some skintight jeans and a green short sleeve tight v cut top. I wasn’t going to try too hard. I didn’t really care. Rain was quiet. I asked, “Are you ok?” Rain whispered, “I don’t know Cassie.” I linked back, “I can’t sit home and think about his hot date Rain...I can’t.” Rain whispered, “We could call Jason…..and go hang out with him. I like him as a friend.” I sighed, “I already said yes, but I wish I had thought of that first.” If I wasn't so upset….I would have. Jason was a good friend.              I didn’t want to lead Gystepi on. Truly. I wasn’t going to kiss him. Probably wouldn’t even hold his hand. Rain was right. Jason would’ve been the better choice. He knew me, and he’d just watch a movie without asking what was wrong. My mom knocked on my door. I said, “Come in.” She smiled, “You look nice, Cass. Your sorrow though….does not match your outfit.” I sighed, “I have a date.” My mom frowned, “If you don’t want to go on said date Cass….you don’t have to f*****g go. I’ll kick some boy’s ass if he’s pressuring you into a date. Then I’ll tell your dad.” I laughed, “That’s….so you mom. No, I just need to get out of the house.” My mom asked, “Are you ok Cass?” I sighed, “No, but I don’t want to talk about it.” My mom hugged me, “You know you can tell me about anything.” I nodded, “Yes, I just need to process it, then I swear we will talk. I just need to get out of the house.” My mom sighed, “Ok. Who is your date with?” I shrugged, “A fairy I met when I stayed in Faerie for a month.” My mom’s lips twitched. I laughed, “You don’t like it.” She said, “I really f*****g don’t, but you are smart. Don’t let your guard down, not even for one second, Cass. Promise me.” I smiled, “I promise I won’t let my guard down mom.” She kissed my forehead, “You look beautiful.”              Gystepi texted me to meet him at a pond in Faerie. I snorted, “He’s not even coming to get me. He probably doesn't want to see dad or any of my brothers.” My mom snorted, “Then he is both somewhat smart and cowardly. I f*****g hate this guy. A real man would come face your dad and brothers to take you on a date.” I smiled, “It’s not a love connection mom.” My mom smiled, “Be safe Cassie.” I smiled and pulled out a dagger from my shoe, “I’m always prepared mom.” She kissed my forehead, “Good girl.”              I popped away. I went to the lake. Gystepi smiled when he saw me, “Hello Duchess.” I smiled, “Cassie….is just fine.” He was nervous, but I brushed that off. Gystepi had been asking me out since I was fourteen. Rain linked, “Something is off Cassie.” I was on alert. We skipped rocks for a while. He wasn’t talking which put me more on alert. It also wasn’t doing a good job of distracting me. I kept thinking about Cayden’s lips….on his hot date’s lips. I’d find out who she was….and she’d been in my tournament too. After I kicked Cayden’s ass. He could’ve warned me. Especially since my brothers knew. Did he think they wouldn’t mention it? Did he not think I deserved to know?             I turned to graph a rock. I heard a pop. Angela screamed, “CASSIE LOOK OUT!” I quickly turned. I didn’t hear anything fired at me. I felt Gystepi was close to me though. I went down onto my knee and knocked his feet out from under him. He had a syringe in his hand. I quickly put my knee on his back and pinned his arms behind his back. I yelled, “Angela go home!” She shook her head, “He’s not alone Cass!” I cursed, “f**k YOU GYSTEPI! Who are you with?” Gystepi snorted, “The ring. We finally got you.” I grabbed the syringe and plunged it into his neck. He gasped then started writhing in pain. I popped to Angela, “Get out of here and go get Uncle Aiden or Alexander...mom….dad….EJ….any...all…” I stopped talking when I heard a shot fired. I tackled Angela but felt an injection hit me. Iron. f**k! I looked Angela over. She was fine. I told her, “Conjure me my swords and you stay behind this boulder if you won’t leave.” She conjured my swords. She whispered, “I won’t leave you, big sister. We stick together.” I sighed, “Stay back here hidden. They don’t know you are here. Make sure it stays that way.” She frowned, “They could've seen me.” I snorted, “They would be taunting me if they did.”              I stepped out with my swords. I tried linking, “EJ….Alexander…..Dad...mom….” Nothing. They were using earth magic. Naturally. Assholes. At least I wore jeans. I had that going for me. A pop sounded beside me. Before they could try anything I ran him through my sword. I winked at him as I pulled it out. He dropped. Chaos ensued. I cut at a vine wrapping around my foot. I used my other sword to cut down another fairy. I looked around. There were thirty of them. It me. Alexander….He just needed to push my pain down. Then he would come. I focused. I need to pull them to me. I almost managed it when a tree was hurled at me. It hit me in the head. I spoke in Latin to Angela so they wouldn’t know I was talking to her. Blood poured down my face, “fratres nosotros nos trahere (pull our brothers to us.)” I’d taken one more fairy down when I heard a pop. I knew who it was. Alexander. He yelled, “WHAT THE f**k IS GOING ON?!” Then he was beside me. His eyes were blazing. EJ popped in next. Mom and Dad followed. My dad roared and shifted. Alexander conjured his broadsword. He was off liked we’d shot him out of a rocket. My mom yelled, “OH I DON’T THINK SO YOU FUCKERS! STAY!” Uncle Aiden popped in. I fought with EJ by my side. He frowned and linked me, “Why are you guarding this spot?” I linked, “Feel your connections EJ.” He did and his eyes widened. He yelled, “f**k!”              He killed two more fairies. My dad had ripped several apart but had started capturing them. Alexander was doing the same. I did not predict that they would have a good day in their futures. Everyone was defeated. EJ touched my head. He yelled, “Alexander!” He popped to us and healed me in the next second. I took off running, “Angela!” My dad yelled, “EXCUSE ME?! Did she just yell for Angela? DO not tell me both my daughters are here!” Angela popped to me. She hugged me. I hugged her too. I held her tightly, “You’re ok Ang. We are ok.” She cried, “I saw….them hurting you….Alexander was going to get here in time...but...they hurt you...and I...had to come save you.” My mom popped over and rubbed her back. She said, “Shhh Ang. You did a good job. Next time, pop to one of your siblings or mommy…. or daddy...or...just bring someone….We will come with you, ok?” Uncle Aiden spoke, “Or me little Angela. I’m so sorry Cassie. I did not know you and Gystepi were still speaking. We’d been watching him closely as a potential member of the ring.” I sighed, “We weren’t really. He’d call and ask me on a date. Usually I say no.” My dad yanked me into his arms as Angela popped to Alexander. He hugged me tightly and whispered, “You scared me, Princess.” I felt the tears in my eyes, “I’m sorry daddy.” He kissed my forehead, “it’s not your fault. Come on...I want Ethan to check you out.”
