7 Spurred on by the success of last night’s dinner, Marina had risen with the sun, started a pot of coffee, and sat down at the dining room table with her laptop and a pad of paper. She had a lot of planning to do for the cafe and her Taste of Summer Beach project. Both were important. Ginger had gone for a morning hike to the ridgetop, where she liked to meditate and look out over the ocean. Marina and Kai went with her sometimes.
