We ran to the ports and caught a boat to Glasgow, from there we fled to London and after London, we raced through France. We were hiding out in an abandoned lot in Spain when the man found us.
As they carried us to their cars our eyes were covered in tight bandages, so tight that they stung my head. Still in the darkness, I could sense that Livi and I had been thrown in the same vehicle him sitting just behind me. I heard some grunting but no one said a word.
‘Livi?’
‘I’m okay, you?’
The restraints had grazed my skin momentarily, the contact had been minuscule but the amount of pain that flared up in my arm was enough to make me want to scream in pain. The only reason I hadn’t was because I’d bitten my bottom lip. I could taste the blood in my mouth. ‘I’m okay. We need to figure out a way to get back to mama.’
“Let's listen to some music or something.” The voice came from somewhere in front of me and belonged to one of our kidnappers. He moved around a bit and suddenly sounds blasted through the car my heart nearly jumped out of my chest at the sudden sounds.
Music.
Of course, we’d heard of music before but up to now, I’d never experienced it before. The vibrations shook the seats and I must have been making a funny face because the volume is turned down and the men's laughter rings through the car.
“I don’t know why but I get the feeling this is your first time hearing this,” The person who had turned on the music chuckled lightly. Then suddenly the blindfold was pulled off and the bright lights nearly blinded me. “Well, Raoul sure caught some nice ones. Is the other one the same?”
One eye the color of blood, the other as dark as night, the mismatch was noticeable even from a distance.
“How old are you girl,” The man from the front seat is turned in his seat. Both eyes the color of wet sand he studied me as if I’m a specimen to be dissected, I suppose from his point of view that’s exactly what I was.
“Seven…seventeen.”
He nodded skeptically before looking me over again. “At least your old, remember that girl two months ago. Some rich Lycan noble took her to his villa and three weeks ago we were called to claim her body. She was younger than you are.”
He snapped his fingers and the person on my left snapped the blindfold back over my eyes.
“Seventeen years old, one male one female, both wolves. I’ve said it once I’ll say it again, I don’t know how Raoul finds them.”
Afterward, the music filled the car.
In spite of my heightened werewolf senses, it still felt as if though my head is being held underwater. I can’t tell how much time passes or even how far we drive. Only that by the time we do stop my head is spinning.
I’m yanked out of the car and thrown over someone’s shoulders before I can even balance on my feet. I sense Livi somewhere beside me as we start moving towards something and someone is humming a song.
“Check them output them in the special cells once you're done. They may be pups but we can’t afford to have them escaping,” A low whistle sound and suddenly multiple hands are grabbing me.
“No!” I screech twisting and turning as I’m forced onto a bed. “Stop it!”
Nearby I can hear Livi putting up a similar fight but to my dismay, they start taking him away.
“Stop it! Give him back!” I arch my back to try to get off the bed. Kicking my legs I manage to hit something soft before hands grab my shoulders and pin me down. The cuffs graze my skin ever so slightly and I let out a loud howl of pain.
“Em—!” Livius' voice is cut off sharply. A sharp twinge travels down my arm and the intense pain from the silver suddenly disperses. My body slumps down and the voices around me begin to blur.
‘L-Livi?’ I send out to him if he responds I don’t hear it.
I’m out in seconds.

“Initial screening they’re as healthy as can be. They’re clearly twins as well so you might get a higher price selling them in pairs.”
“Decisions regarding the merchandise are all made by me,” In my droopy state I recognize Raoul's voice. He’s speaking to a woman not too far from my bed.
Trying to pull my arm up I can’t muster enough strength and only succeded in alerting them to my awakeness. Blinking slowly I’m grateful for the darkly lit room and the humidity of the air.
“Welcome back to the land of the living little Miss,” Raoul laughs mockingly. I barely managed to turn my head. He stands a few feet away from where I’m laying. He’s standing behind some bars which stretch from the floor to the ceiling. Beside him is a short woman with big round glasses. She scrunches her nose and pushes her spectacles up the bridge of her nose. Her bob cut gives her a square feel. “Don’t worry doctor we already have a buyer set up for this one, Sadly she’ll be cattle for some Alpha in America.”
“I set their bloodwork to a friend. We should have the results in a few hours,” The woman quickly averts her gaze from me. Be it shame or embarrassment she can’t force herself to look at me for too long. “As for the boy we’ve given him a higher dosage of sedative so he probably won't wake again till tomorrow.”
Raoul nodded.
“M—my…brother,” My voice is slurred and I don’t sound like myself. My neck strains as I twist to glare at them. “Where is he?”
“Tsk tsk, you should be grateful we’ve given you a bed.” Raoul grinned. “Worry about yourself for now yeah? After all, didn’t you hear, you might have a new home soon.”
Then they leave. I listen to the sound of their receding footsteps down the cold humid hall before a loud door is slammed shut and suddenly silence envelops me. There's a single string bulb hung from outside the bars that barely illuminates my room—no my cell.
Crawling off my cot I inch myself towards the bars hissing as they threaten to burn my skin. Silver.
“Livi?” I called out softly. “Livius!?” I called out more desperately.
There was a loud thudding sound but then silence. Pulling my knees to my chest I sobbed into my legs.
Oh mama, where are you? Livius? Someone, anyone, please come save us!
