Introduction (Part 1)
Clarisse daughter of Horace the founder and alpha of the Crescent pack was in love. His name was Jonah and for all his faults he had ensnared her.
She was a descendant of wolf, child of the moon capable of transforming into a beast. He was a descendant of man, raised to be wary of the wolf of wolf’s monstrous intent.
Neither should have ever crossed paths. But her beauty enthralled him and his kindness pulled her closer.
The story goes that on the night of a full moon both Clarisse and Jonah met at the border between their worlds and confessed their love for each other. Their will to be together was so strong that it is said the Moon Goddess herself descended from the heavens.
Trembling before her both man and wolf had no choice but to bow.
Impressed by their love for one another the Moon Goddess created a bond between them. So that even if they should die they would find one another in the next life.
This became known as the Mate bond and tied wolf to man for centuries to come. Of course, the bond existed between all species and could cross between all races for love is indiscriminate.
Since then there have been countless births and rebirths. Countless loves and discoveries. But nearly a hundred years later something strange occurred.
Rumored to be the children of an ancient prophecy yet to be completed twins were born. Whether the children were truly cursed or not their mother decided was unimportant. To her, their life meant even more than her own.
She cast aside her own happiness for theirs. Burdened with this from a young age they wondered constantly if the Moon Goddess watches over all the wolves that she created.
If only they knew.
