Chapter Ten I let out a gasp, leaning into Phil, who stared at Bob open-mouthed. We now had an entirely different reason to find Tara. I hoped we could do so before her mother was forced to bury not one, but two of her children. Bob’s thoughts mirrored my own. “We can’t allow this search for Tara to turn into a recovery.” It went without saying and yet, needed to be said. “It’s time to get the cops involved.” I couldn’t deny something had to be done. Something legal. Something coordinated. It was clear Tara wasn’t off on a bender or going to magically appear on her own. We also had more than a couple incentives to offer the police to ensure they took our concerns seriously. The first was her brother’s death. The second posed an imminent danger and went by the name of Vincent Marconi
