Chapter 26: What in the realms is that!

2594 Words
Ezekiel I held Marisoll close to me and was surprised to feel her shivering. She was afraid. We all were, only a fool would run arrogantly into this place, but I was worried for her, if the creatures of this place were too much for her then how on earth was she going to go up against the dark lord himself. Cairn came over to us and held her from behind so that she was encircled between us, for once, we both wanted the same thing and that was to make her feel better. “I am ok now,” she said quietly and gave us both a small smile. “Then shall we move on before we all lose our nerve?” I smiled a gentle, teasing smile. “Yes,” she laughed and kissed both our cheeks, then moved away from our embrace. I watched Cairn watch Marisoll, he was different with her, I had seen him with ladies before, he had always been so rough, blunt, dismissive even, it was not just ladies either, Cairn had always been a pain in the a.ss, cruel and cold, he was the type to kill first and ask questions later, he had a temper so hot it would put the devil to shame, but I had noticed since Marisoll had been in our lives that he had become calmer, softer in a way if you could ever call one such as Cairn soft, she made him a better man, she was good for him. Mystic Zerena had applied some ointment to the burns on Marisolls arm, and then we walked through the same doorway one of the spiders had crawled through. We kept to the sides as we walked and looked around, but there did not seem to be any more spiders, at least for now. We were almost to the other side when something came crawling out of the shadows, when it stood it reached almost ten feet tall, thin and skeletal with remnants of flesh here and there, rags that were torn and ragged hung from its skeletal frame. Its eyes were white like that of a blind person, but I knew it could see us. It had long thinning blonde hair that ran down its back and pooled around its feet, a crown rest upon its head like it had once been a queen or princess before the darkness came. Tiny black spiders, thousands of them, crawled out of its exposed rib cage, Cairn shivered and stepped back behind me, it would have been a perfect opportunity to wind him up, but now was the time for such things. The creature walked awkwardly towards us, as if it did not know how to use its legs properly, we all drew our swords, I slashed its arm when it reached out to us. Hissing and making an inhuman moaning sound it bent over backwards doing a crab walk and climbed up the side of the wall. “F.uck that s.hit,” Cairn whispered. “Says the man who is part of the spider king’s covenant, is this his bride?” I asked sarcastically. Cairn must have been really afraid of spiders because he did not bite back with a cruel remark, he muttered, “I am seriously rethinking the whole spider covenant thing, might even kill him myself if he is like this thing.” While we were busy conversing, Marisoll pushed me out of the way, I crashed to the floor with her beside me and saw something moving across the floor. I realised it was the creature’s hair, as she hung from the ceiling she tried using her hair as a weapon to grab us, tried sliding around Cairns ankles, but he hacked at it with his sword, more hair replaced the piece he had cut, it spread out like a living thing of its own and shot towards me, Cairn and mystic Zerena. While we tried to avoid its hair, Marisoll yelled, “the living dead!” We looked over and saw skeletal remains up and walking towards us, this was not just any old creature, this was a necromancer. They were not automatically evil just because they could commune with the dead, but with the taint of the darkness she was no longer in control, the darkness was, in control of both her and her powers. Cairn rushed towards the living dead and fought them while myself and Marisoll tried to get closer to the necromancer. Mystic Zerena used a spell that momentarily immobilised her hair giving us the chance to get close, she threw fireballs towards it too, stunning it with little damage but allowing us to get up close. Marisol grabbed her bow and arrows and fired one directly into its exposed rib cage, more spiders crawled out, and the necromancer moaned and hissed in pain. I fought it with my sword, stabbing where I could and striking any weak or exposed areas, it shrieked and tried to crawl backwards again but Marisoll fired another arrow, this one she lit with fire, and it pierced the exposed rib cage again, and set it alight. The necromancer screeched a deafening sound and collapsed to the ground, writhing in agony. Cairn finished killing off the living dead while we stabbed the necromancer piercing its heart making sure it died, it did, and the living dead died along with it, Cairn had struck them down, but they would not stay dead until the necromancer either put them back or died. We were all sweating by the end of it, two fights in such a short amount of time was not as easy as it seemed. “Come, let’s find a place to rest and recuperate,”mystic Zerena said. We traveled around for a while until we came upon a small cave, not very big, but enough space for us all to fit inside and make a fire. There was not much meat left when we laid it out to cook, myself, Marisoll and mystic Zerena all looked to one another gave a nod and I turned to Cairn, “you eat, we can wait.” He frowned at me, “what? Don’t be stupid, we can all eat.” “Cairn, you are a werewolf, you need the meat and food more than we do, it is better that you are at your full strength, you have a better chance against the dark lord than us, and we know the wolf can become irritable and lose focus when hungry. Eat, we can wait until tomorrow.” He tried to argue with us about it but in the end he knew we were right, and he ate, stopping mystic Zerena when she went to cook it. “I will be more full and satisfied with raw meat than cooked,” he explained. Marisoll sat beside him and asked, “so why do you eat cooked meat?” He shrugged, took a bite of the meat and said, “to hide what I am, I cannot eat raw meat in front of humans without making it obvious I am not myself human.” “But even when we found out what you are?” He leaned forward with his knees bent up, draping his arms over them with his hands hanging down. “I am still getting used to sharing this side of myself with others, my kind is taught to hide what we are, and I guess I still feel ashamed and embarrassed, I do not exactly want you guys watching me behave like some beast.” “You are not a beast,” Marisoll said and kissed his shoulder. He leaned over and kissed her cheek, making her smile shyly. We all tried to get some rest, but I do not think either of us really slept at all, feeling so on edge about what was to come. Mystic Zerena got up, and I asked, “where are you going?” “Do not worry about me, you lot get some rest, I want to look around and see where we should head next, I can get by unseen.” Both me and Cairn had known her long enough we knew she could take care of herself, so I let her leave while Marisoll drew our attention back on her. “Come here you two, I think I know a way that can help you to relax.” She looked more bashful than usual, letting us know it was clearly something intimate, that was the only thing she grew so shy around us. “Where do you want us, princess?” Cairn grinned and she s.lapped his leg. “Do not call me princess, or I’ll start calling you Prince Charming. I want you both to stand up.” He rolled his eyes at her but stood up and I joined him. Marisoll got on her knees in front of us and like the typical males we were, we responded. She pulled down our trousers, I could tell she was shy about it, but she was determined, and she held each of us in each of her hands. Cairn looked at me and rose his eyebrows, just as surprised as I was. I had always been quite big but Cairn was so big between his legs I wondered if it were a human thing or a werewolf thing, Marisoll had enjoyed that? My thoughts flew out the window when she began to take turns sucking on each of us, running her tongue lightly along my thick hard length and then doing the same to Cairn. When she ran her tongue along the tip of me it felt good, so damn good so that when she next flicked her tongue teasingly over the s.lit I spurted come on her face, she ran her tongue all over me as I came, and it felt incredible, I had never had a lady do it like that before, when I finished I pulled my trousers back up and gave them two space, it felt weird being there with Cairn without lust to help. “F.uck you’re good at sucking it darling,” he moaned as she finished him off. He did his trousers back up and helped her to her feet, pulled her into his arms and kissed her. He seemed much more affectionate recently, and I was even more surprised when he led her over to me and had her lay between the both of us. I must have looked confused because he smirked, “she is our lady, seems only right we both lay with her.” “I never took you for the sharing type,” I replied. He shrugged, looking a little embarrassed and said, “usually I am not, but the wolf in me sees you as pack, it is still a little difficult, but I am getting used to sharing, if you were not pack to me, I would one hundred percent be trying to kill you.” “Pack mates share a female?” I asked. He shook his head, “no, very rarely that happens, it is a little more common with the alpha and his second in command, if the female is not getting pregnant for example then an extra male can sometimes help.” Cairns life was fascinating to listen to, on the one hand he lived this very manly and human life and on the other he lived a much more animal like lifestyle, like true wolves, although I suppose that made sense if what he said was true about being true wolves originally rather than humans who were bitten. Sometimes when I looked at Cairn I saw it, no matter how much he tried to hide the wolf it would sometimes slip to the surface and I would see it in his eyes or the way he moved, the way he reacted to things, like touching his shoulder when he was not expecting it and he would automatically lash out, the instinct to attack the same as a wild animal would. It was like watching a wolf wear human skin like a costume, he might not look like one but everything about him screamed wolf, predator, wild and unpredictable, I could not believe I had not seen it sooner. I would never tell him this, I knew he was already struggling to allow us to see more of this side to him, it was not his fault and I did not see him differently, if anything I liked him more and did not have the urge to kill him these days, and when he did anger me I was not so quick to strike first now I understood him better. We both pressed up against Marisoll and I let my fingers run lightly along her thighs, Cairn followed suit, and we traced our fingers along her bare skin having removed her trousers. It was not long before our fingers reached the sweetness between her legs, Cairns fingers played with her lightly, drawing soft moans while I teased her running mine up and down along her thighs, the next time I ran my fingers up I kept going, and then I pushed a finger inside of her, she was already so wet, and she left my fingers soaked and sticky as I thrust them in and out of her slow and gentle, working them faster as her breathing grew more ragged, her rubbing herself against my hand wanting them deeper. Cairn kissed his way down her neck, making his way to her exposed b.reasts, he took turns sucking each of her n.ipples until they were hard, I fingered her harder, faster, while he sucked, kissed, nipped her b.reasts and then she came hard, spilling into ecstasy and crying out so loud it echoed around the place. Cairn quickly shoved his hand over her mouth muffling her whilst never stopping kissing her b.reasts and playing with them. When she was finished and lay there panting I pulled my fingers out, and she watched me as I sucked them slowly, tasting her. I wanted nothing more than to pin her down and f.uck her hard, desperately, I was not always a gentleman in bed, but I knew Marisoll did not mind that, certainly if she had Cairn for a partner who was anything but gentle. We would have to wait for s.ex though, foreplay was nice, but s.ex would be much more distracting and time-consuming, and this was not the place for it. We cuddled Marisoll knowing that for her any form of intimacy whether it be s.ex or foreplay required affection and loving gestures after, she did not like to feel used, and I think a part of her was afraid that if we just fooled around and carried on about our day that it meant we did not love her or care about her, in her mind affection outside of s.ex meant there was love and care, which was not unreasonable, most ladies felt this way with us men, whereas I knew me and cairn could find pleasure with a lady we liked and not need cuddling or hand holding after, we understood it was not the same for Marisoll, so we gave her the attention she wanted, she was right to ask it of us too because we were more than just her lovers, we needed to learn to treat her differently to the ladies we spent the night with.
