Airport Ride

Annie p.o.v

The banging on my door was disturbing my sleep. He was continually slamming my door. He wants me to go with him to pick up his wife.

Because she has crazy pregnancy cravings. She wants to see my face.

"Hayden, I will kill you if I come out from here. I promise!"

"She will kill me if you didn't come with me." He shouted again.

"Oh!!! f**k off, Hayden. I am sleeping. Don't you have manners? I am not going anywhere with you." I shouted from my bed.

"Annie, come on, please wake up. Daisy is waiting for us at the airport. Don't you have a bit of courtesy? She is your sister in law. My God damn wife. " He said in an emotional voice.

"Hayden, go get her by yourself." I said firmly.

"So, that is your final decision? I am asking for the last time." He warned.

I heard his footsteps that were going away from my door.

I hurriedly stand up from my bed running towards my room door. I opened the door. He was standing near the stairs.

"Hayden, wait!!! I am coming." I shouted.

If he would be not my wedding planner. He would just have been my brother. I would never get going to go with him.

"That was quick." He smirked.

"f**k off Hayden. Stop doing emotional blackmail things." I cursed.

He started laughing.

"I am waiting for you in the car. Come fast."

I cursed then get inside my room. I picked a shirt and jeans then get inside the bathroom to get ready.

I showered. I take all my time to complete my chores. I did this on purpose to annoy Hayden. I smirked.

It is 6:00 in the morning, Daisy's flight is going to land at 7:00 a.m. I come out of my room then walk downstairs.

Mom Dad was sleeping. Our house is quiet at this time. I opened the front door. I walk outside then saw Hayden was sitting in his car. I saw him looking at his wristwatch. I giggled, He is so cute sometimes...

I start walking towards the porch when it clicked me! I feel like someone is watching me. The feeling was creepy. I felt someone was standing nearby. I turn around, there was nothing... No one!!! At this hour street were empty. Not much traffic, a few people but they are not strange.

But, that feeling was strange. I shrugged then moved away from the gate to sit in the car.

"You took so long. I was thinking to cancel your engagement venue." Hayden said in a teasing tone.

I fake laughed then punched him in the arm. He laughed. I started laughing too.

We drove off to the airport. I laid my head on the car seat. The sleep engulfed my senses. Hayden cleared his throat.

"Annie, there is something. I want to tell you." He said in a serious tone.

"Hayden, what is it? You look worried." I asked from him.

"Yes, I am a little worried. Annie, I don't want you to worry. But, I think it is important to tell you. After announcing Charles's and your engagement.

Charles was coming back from the press conference. The brakes of his car were failed. God blessed him. He got out of the car in time or otherwise you know... We investigated that incident. The officers tell us that someone did that purposely." He sighed.

"OMG!!! why didn't you guys tell me that before? " I panicked. I started getting worried.

"Charles asked me not to tell you. Because he doesn't want you to get worried." Hayden said.

"But last night when I got a phone call from Daisy. She was sounding so worried. She asked me about you that you are okay? Someone called her and warned that he is going to kill you. She asked me to check on you. I came into your room you were sleeping. I ensured her that you are fine. Daisy was so terrified so she said she is coming home." Hayden further told me. He was looking so afraid.

"Oh my God!!! Someone is threatening our family. But, why? " I asked.

"Charles is investigating things. We will sort out this matter. You don't worry." He smiled and said.

I smiled back but the lines of worry on his were clear. My face tensed up with tension.

Who is the person that is treating family? Why?

We don't have any business rivals. That can go that much deep. So who can be?

I was in deep thought when the car stopped. We arrived at the airport. Hayden stopped the car. He gets out from his side when I opened my door. I saw something strange. A man in a black hoodie is watching towards our car. He is standing far from the car.

But, I can feel his eyes that are watching me. That is strange. I was watching the man with curiosity. I didn't listen to Hayden, who was calling me to come.

"Annie, Annie!!! Hayden came then closed the door of my side. I startled.

" What happened? Is there anything? " Hayden asked.

"No, Nothing. I again look in the same direction. But there was no one there." I shrugged.

We both get inside the airport. We were waiting for Daisey.

She showed up from the crowd with her baby bump. She came in our direction. She looks more beautiful than she already is...

"My babies, I missed you guys so much." She cried then hugged us both.

"We miss you too." We both said at the same time. We all laughed did a family hug then we came out. Put, all the baggage in the car and drove back home.
