Fabrizio’s POV The tension between us was thick, almost suffocating. Tabitha stood by the window, her back to me, her body tense as she clutched her phone in one hand, her purse hanging loosely from the other. She hadn’t said a word since we’d woken up. I could feel the distance between us growing, and I wasn’t having it. She thought she could leave. I moved toward her, closing the space between us in a matter of seconds. My hand wrapped around her waist, pulling her back against my chest, my breath hot against her neck. “You don’t really want to leave, do you?” I growled, my lips brushing against the sensitive skin of her throat.
