Chapter Nineteen - Pledge

After her people greeted her, she started discussing the experiences that she had learned, she also informed them that she gave birth to the next heir that’s going to take their Kingdom.

Everyone rejoiced, they just couldn't believe that there’s still someone that’s going to rule them after everyone heard secretly their former King and Queen got killed.

“Before I accept this role, I want to thank my parents even if they didn’t tell me anything about being part of the Crestfallen Kingdom,” She raised her voice, dominating everyone to listen to her attentively.

“They wanted to protect me from this mess, they wanted me to experience life without guns and murder, but now, the underground isn’t balanced anymore from the constant killings and murders of different mafia groups,”

“My parents lead the Crestfallen Kingdom before only killing people that are a threat to their lives, this kingdom, and other mafia groups and now, it’s time for me to lead to make underground balance once again,” She continued, so everyone just clapped their hands.

Clara just smiled, she wondered if her parents are seeing her right now, after almost two decades, their Kingdom is back to dominate the world underground.

She gazed from behind and saw that Timothy was just proudly smiling at her like he was her father waiting for her to accept her diploma on the stage.

Deep inside, Timothy was relieved that finally, everything underground is going to come back to normal.

The Onyx Kingdom, or rather the Stone Kingdom, has caused too much trouble for the organizations and also upper ground, so they have to be stopped.

“Aside from my pledge tonight, there’s something I would like to discuss with everyone,” She raised her voice, so everyone piped down.

“What is it, Queen? Name it and we’ll do it in a heartbeat,” Someone raised their tone, so she heaved a deep long sigh before looking at them all again.

“I want you to do something for me,” Clara clenched her fists before using the remote of the projector to reveal her plans on protecting her husband on the upcoming devious plans of Andrea Lopez.

“Isn’t that man the God of the Bible?” One of them curiously asked, so she just bitterly smiled before nodding at them.

“He’s my ex-husband, we had to divorce for important reasons,” She informed, so everyone thought it was a sensitive topic.

Their Queen looks like she doesn't want to talk about it further, so they just decided to wait for her to discuss her orders.

“Everyone can help with my plans, it’s about protecting the Bible’s and the Angel’s, they’re special to me and I heard something bad is about to happen to them,” After she revealed her plans on the projector, her people were in awe.

They don’t know where they’ll be excited, the fact that their Queen is here, or the fact that they’ll be in action sooner with her orders.

“This plan will be conducted tomorrow night, so everyone prepare yourselves,” Clara informed, so they all just cheered before her.

Tomorrow night came, the Angel’s and the Bible just went to their positions as Uriela and Gabriel entered the bar.

They were wearing wigs that would be difficult for people around them to identify who they were, they had earpieces on their ears to be guided by Julian and Sachiel from the outside of their minivan that contains numerous computers, radios, and headsets.

“Uriela and Gabriel are inside ordering drinks at the counter, are you set there, Genesis?” Julian held onto his headset to hear them clearly.

[Loud and clear, everything is set, the exits are blocked,] He casually informed, so he just nodded at him even though Genesis couldn’t see him.

“Raven, are there any bombs around that bar?” Sachiel asked this time, so Julian just looked at her.

It’s been a year that they’ve been together and he feels like this is the first time she heard her so serious, everyone was having a hard time looking for Clara.

All they received from the past two years was a disappointment, so now that they had proper orders from Tristan, everyone wanted everything to work well.

[I don’t see anything, but I’m not highly sure of that,] Raven replied, so they heard someone cursing on the earpiece.

[Would you go here faster Leviticus? I don't have time to deal with clowns with cakey makeups,] Tristan hissed.

[I have to double-check everything first, I wanted to be sure that our plan will work smoothly, if I missed one bomb everything will be over,] Raven firmly said on the other line, so Julian just smirked.

“Good, and boss, you have to act naturally, you have to pretend you’re entertaining girls so that when she arrives or if she’s there already, she would claim you’ve moved on,” Julian informed, so Tristan furrowed his eyebrows.

[Why would she think that I’ve moved on? Does she want me to kill her? I would never move on from my wife,] Tristan grunted, so he just sighed.

This was his boss’s plan, he distinctly remembered hearing their boss saying that he’ll pretend to be drawn to other girls, so he doesn't know why he speaks this way.

He’s probably bitter to all those strangers or couples making out around him, “That’s why I said you have to pretend boss, don’t blow your cover,”

[She’s here,] Tristan suddenly informed, so Julian and his people became alerted, all of their eyes are on her.

[She became slimmer, looks strange, and a pornstar,] Uriela commented while drinking her cocktail on the counter.

Gabriel just observed her, she doesn't have anything to say because she knew something about her change.

No one even looked for Andrea Lopez when she disappeared last two years ago, even her parents, so she was not sure if this woman they’re watching over is still sane or something.

[She immediately found God,] Gabriel informed after they observed them from afar. Tristan’s on the other side of the counter, so they can freely look at them without no one noticing.

“Any suspicious leads around?” Julian asked while typing something from the computer to send details to their other people watching around the bar.

[Nothing we’re familiar with, this feels off, why does it feel like they know we’re here?] Uriela hissed while chugging her beer. She has high alcohol tolerance.

“Just continue to observe for a while, I’ll be watching the cameras and will inform everyone if we saw something suspicious,” Julian informed, so everyone just answered ‘copy’.

On the other hand, Tristan could hear them while he’s looking at Andrea Lopez, “TJ, I’ve been speaking with you, didn’t you hear what I just said?”

“Andi, I’m just surprised to see you here, you were gone for two years, where have you been? You escaped my people,” Tristan casually replied, so Andrea just playfully smiled at him.

“Oh you know, someone’s been taking good care of me, and I mean good care, also in bed,” She winked, so he didn’t react to what she just said.

“I see, so I was worried about nothing,” Tristan averted his gaze at her before drinking his wine, Andrea got confused for a moment.

“Y-You were worried about me?” Andrea curiously asked, so he immediately nodded which made her mentally squeal.

“I-I didn’t know about that,” She mumbled while asking for some drink, it’s been a while since she saw Tristan, she’s already wet just thinking about sitting this close to him.

That’s how much she’s drawn to him, which is not normal, “Well now you know,” He replied while eating some grapes.

Andrea bit her lower lip before tugging her hair into her right ear, she had to calm herself down or else the plan wouldn’t work, “W-Well um, how about you? I heard your wife disappeared,”

Tristan just nodded, “Where did you hear that? I don’t believe I announced that in public,” He asked.

Andrea almost flinched before shrugging, “I’ve been hearing rumors on the place I’m staying in,” 

He then nodded again, “Why are you here then?” Tristan curiously asked, so she just playfully smirked.

“Finding a guy to take me home, well now that you’re here, do you want to take me home?” She was just joking, so she was so surprised that he nodded at her.

“Sure, it’s just easy to take you home, we’ll just ride a car,” Tristan replied, so she laughed at first before shaking her head.

“Oh you innocent man, what I meant was, take me home and heat me…in bed,” She leaned in to whisper into Tristan's ears.

He wanted to push her away, but he had to know something about her, “Aside from home, where do you want to do it?” 

Andrea felt like her ears were clapping, she doesn’t understand why Tristan was acting this way, but he probably missed his wife and s*x life.

“I want to do it here,” She pressed herself against him before kissing his cheeks, “Do you want to go upstairs?”

Tristan just nodded before staring at his people that were watching him around, “Yes, I’ll go with you,” 

After he said those words, he left with Andrea, leaving the people of Crestfallen caught off guard at what they just heard.

“Queen, he’s coming with her to probably do something with him upstairs, he’ll be drugged before he could even enter the room, do they know that?” Nine informed on the earpiece, so Clara just bit her inside cheeks to calm herself down.

She didn’t actually think Tristan would come with her instantly, though she knows it’s part of their plan, it still hurt her on the inside.

“Queen,” Clara wasn’t surprised when Timothy spoke, “Focus, you didn’t even feel that I was here already,” He claimed, so she shook her head.

“I know you’re there, but I planned to ignore you since I know you’re just going to inform me about something,” Clara replied, so he just smirked.

Clara has improved a lot, if he didn’t know any better, he thinks she’s her father and mother combined in her skills.

They’re currently at the highest level of the bar, Clara’s also watching the camera with Julian and could hear them without them hearing her.

She wanted to tear up hearing Tristan’s voice, she was just glad that he was doing well. Julian and Sachiel didn’t even notice that she entered their system. What are they doing? She thought.

“There are only a few people of Onyx around and only the people of the Bible and Angels are watching from the outside, something doesn’t feel right,” Timothy claimed while tapping his hands on Clara’s desk.

Timothy furrowed his eyebrows on the screen before cursing, “Queen you have to get out of here, I think they’re just trying to lure you here,” He claimed, so she watched the screen where Timothy was pointing at.

She noticed that Andrea took out something from her bag while walking from Tristan's back, it’s like she was doing it on purpose and it’s impossible for Tristan not to notice.

“Andrea’s doing it on purpose, why isn’t Julian seeing this?” She was frustrated while typing something from her keyboard.

“There, I informed him, but Tristan probably noticed it,” Clara fixed her hair, she’s wearing a black and white suit. She used a knife to tie her hair before wearing a mask so that no one would notice her.

“What are you doing?” Timothy asked while fixing his gun, he was wondering why she looks like she’s about to fight someone, so she just pointed on the other screen where the room Andrea chose is located.

“Someone messed with the camera in this specific scene, I have to check it out myself,” She casually informed.

Timothy checked to where she was pointing at and noticed it was strange, and it’s also strange that Julian and Sachiel were not responding.

“Tristan would be drugged by someone else and not Andrea, she was just a pawn,” She casually informed before walking out of the room, but Timothy caught her wrists.

“What if this is truly a trap to lure you? What would you do?” He curiously asked, so she just smiled at him.

“What else do I have to do aside from fight? Besides, no one knows how I look now,” She claimed before walking out of the door.

Timothy agreed with her since no one would really notice her, she was skilled in stealth and hiding, so if anyone could save Tristan from getting drugged by someone, it’s going to be her.
