KENDALL’s POV. “You’ve been staring at the window for a while, is there something interesting down there?” Chase, My one and only brother asks as he walks in. “Hush.” I reply as I place my index finger on my lips and make a sign for him to come. “I can barely be heard, Belle is having her party again.” He whispers as he kneels on the sofa just like me so he can get a clear view through the window. “Isn’t she adorable?” I ask as I stare at a girl with curly hair. But my question is, when did she make her hair curl? “The girl dressed in yellow? She is beautiful, but she looks like she was forced.” He replies and laugh. “Shut up, she’s turning away. I guess she wants to leave. She is always intriguing.” I whisper. “Always? Do you know her?” He asks. “I will tell you about it later.” I whisper and he taps my shoulder so I can look at him. “Why are you whispering? You know what?” He asks. “No, I don’t.” I reply. “I am going to talk to her.” He says and run out of my room before I can stop him. I wait patiently for him to get to her and a smile evades my lips as I watch her make a face while Chase talks to her. They talk for a while and she walks in after Chase gives me a wink. Getting off the sofa, I drop the curtains and turn on the light. Covering my head with the hood of my hoodie, I put my hands into my pocket and walk out of my room. Walking out, a waiter approaches me as soon as I walk down the stairs and I take a cup from him. As soon as the music starts again, I approach her and wrap my hand around her waist thereby hugging her from behind. A sigh of relief escapes my lips when she doesn’t push my hand of and I move my mouth closer to her left ear so she can hear me. “A cup?” I whisper harshly and she nods. “Yeah.” She replies and I smile to myself. “You seem lost.” I whisper and she moves her head. “I don’t think so.” She whispers back and raise the cup to her lips. “Sway to the rhythm.” I say and she disentangles my hand from her waist. Moving away from her fast, I approach my friends who are seated. “Why are you guys here?”  I ask as I move to sit next to one of them. “I told you I have a crush on your kid sister.” Jake replies. “She is just seventeen.” I reply as I take a cup from the table. “She rejected him.” Harry replies and I grin. “That’s my Belle.” I murmur as I watch the skinny beauty from the store make funny faces and flip her hair as she swallows the liquor. She looks around and her friend waves at her like a manic as she approaches her with some other girls I think I have seen with Belle before. They speak to her, but anyone can tell that she is uncomfortable as she keeps giving them fake smiles and clenching her fingers. I watch her friend hug her before walking away and she moves for the kitchen, only to come out back almost immediately after she finds a couple kissing. Laughing, I stand up as she moves to the dance floor and begin to dance. My eyes twitch when a guy walks up to her and grind against her from behind and I watch him slip in a card into her pocket as he says something to her. “She is easy.” I murmur as I get angry. “Who is easy?” Jake asks. “Never mind.” I reply and swallow the remaining liquor in my cup. “Kendall.” Belle says as she grips my arm. “What do you want?” I ask her and she blinks rapidly. “Is that supposed to get me to do your annoying request?” I ask as I trail my eyes over the dance floor only to find out that she’s gone. “You haven’t even listened to my request. By the way, why are you so pissed?” She asks. “What’s your request?” I ask. “I promised my friends that if they come, they would see you.” She says and I scoff. “I am not going to do that and please clean up this mess before morning. Mom shouldn’t find out.” I reply and peck her cheek before ascending the stairs. I walk towards my room and open the door to find the skinny beauty seated on the floor with her back rested on my bed. “You seem smitten.” Jake whispers and I place my index finger on my lips. He makes a ‘oh oh’ shape with his mouth before grinning like a manic. “Just get lost.” I whisper and he grins before walking away. I watch her take the bottle of Vodka I had left next to my bed and she drinks it as she stares at something on her phone. Her face gets wet from her tears and I feel my heart clench when she begins to murmur incoherent words. “If you have been standing there, why don’t you come in?” She slurs as she asks. “Stop.” I say as I walk in. Taking the bottle from her, she sobs and raise her head to look at me. “You are drunk.” I say as I sit next to her. “I am not.” She replies and I scoff. “That’s one of the words drunk people say.” I say. “They all think it is easy for me… they are all born with golden spoons, so they do not know how hard it is for someone who barely got into a rich school manages three jobs and still appear in school daily despite being bullied. If I go to school with this curly hair, only the heavens know what my new nickname would be. Getting dressed in baggy jeans and tops daily to hide how skinny I am. Puking the only food I am likely to have in a day into the powder room’s cubicle and then raising my head strong when I just want to cry my heart out to someone who will understand me. Nothing ever came easy for me and then everyone will still talk bad about me even if I commit suicide… I feel irritated, I want…” She trails off and rise up to her feet. I watch her stagger as she makes her way to my bathroom only to return few minutes after with her hands crossed on her chest. “I feel cold… and everywhere is spinning.” She says and before she can pass out I move fast to catch her. My eyes trails over her exposed body parts and I gulp as I feel the urge to protect her. Walking towards my bed, I place her on it nicely and take off her sandals. I cover her with the duvet up to her chin and sigh as I sit next to her. “This curly hair fits you perfectly and you are not that skinny.” I whisper as I touch her hair and my eyes trails over to her phone lying useless on the floor. Picking it up, her phone light turns on and a picture of woman who looks just like her is displayed on the screen. I place her phone on my night stand and turn off the lights, leaving just the bed side lamps on. I walk towards the door with the almost empty bottle of vodka and stop in my tracks when I remember another guy slipping a card into her pocket. Placing the bottle on the floor, I walk towards the bed and raise the duvet a bit in other to gain access to her pocket. I take out the card and she opens her eyes. She smiles at me and I find myself smiling back even though I know that the liquor is the only reason why she is smiling. She’s only smiling because she’s drunk… “Your lips.” She murmurs and I move closer to her as she shuts her eyes close. She opens it again and stare at me as my breath fans her face. “I…” She trails off and move her hands to my head, making my lips to touch hers and my eyes opens wide. Damn the softness… “I now kiss angels in my dream…:” She murmurs and giggle before shutting her eyes close.
