Tyler’s P.O.V.

It was almost more 3 months that I hadn’t met with Nicholas. We were childhood friends and best buddies. We shared all our problems with each other and we had each other’s back. After the accident, he changed a bit. I heard that he was attacked by one of his rivals and Andrea almost escaped her death. I went to visit her a few times and felt sorry for her and her mother.

She was a good girl. She had dreams for herself and for her mother. She didn’t deserve to be on that state. She was the first P.A. of Nicholas who survived 2 years with him. They were good friends and I also like to hang out with both of them. She was fun but threw herself on any guy. This trait of her made her unique and special.

After that accident, Nicholas had a bad impact on his business and slowly most of his investors started taking their money out of his business. He was in a lot of stress at that time and missed Andrea so much.

At that time, her sister and I almost forced him to let us invest in his business. Her sister, Melissa, was a top model and she loved him dearly. I liked her a lot.

Nicholas worked hard all these months without any P.A. to regain what he had lost. He had also this guilt that because of him, Andrea was in that state.

I was out of state for a month for a business deal I cracked in the Philippines. I heard that Andrea has joined the office and I was really happy. So, I came to meet both of them.

I was a bit surprised when I hugged her and she shuddered a little. I felt her a little uncomfortable and I didn’t know why. We had these hugs before and she never seemed bothered about this. For her, we were like friends forever.

I didn’t think about this and sat beside her. Suddenly, she passed me her smile. Yeah… that genuine smile… I really missed that.

“Tyler… you are making her nervous”, Nicholas said to me in an irritating look and I raised my brows on him. Why I sensed jealousy in his tone?

“Why I am smelling something burning”, I sniffed the air around us and then heard her laugh. I looked at her. She was so like her but a little different. I felt some changes in her facial features also.

“There is nothing that is burning. Leave her and tell me why are you here?” Nicholas sounded totally pissed and now I was eager to know his reason.

“What???? Can’t I come to see my best friend who has been missing since forever?”, I snapped at him annoyingly while batting my lashes on him. Andrea seemed confused now as she was looking between us.

“I am sorry buddy. But, you know what happened after that accident. I was totally in chaos and had no idea what to do”, he gave me an apologetic look and I huffed.

“I am sorry”, I made a mocking face. Kill someone and say sorry. That’s all.

“Did I miss something here, Tyler?” she suddenly asked me and I looked at her now. I thought that she now knew everything and made the mistake of blurting out something that Nicholas had still hidden from her.

“Yeah, My dear… you missed a lot”, I tried to tell her and instantly Nicholas stopped me saying anything further. “Don’t Tyler. She is still recovering and need not go in so many details right now”,

Before I could say anything further, she cut me off in a very stern tone that instantly threw me in a shocking state. "What did I miss, Nicholas". I blinked my eyes continuously with an open mouth. I never heard her so cold and stern. She called him by his name and that meant trouble.

Nicholas was also silent and was looking at her blankly. I cleared my throat to break this awkward silence.

“Nicholas, she deserved to know the truth. She also worked hard with you”, I made a statement and Nicholas glared at me. I gulped down a lump that I felt in my throat.

“I have gone through every document related to our every project those are going on now and those that we completed in the last six months and found something missing or manipulated. I was going to ask you about them by today evening. What Tyler said made sense here now. I wanted a fair truth, Sir”, she forced on the last word while talking to him angrily. After the accident, she became feisty. Interesting….

“You are still recovering Andrea and I didn’t want to stress you anymore. I have noticed that you are now more concern about the company and you are also trying hard to cover all lost time. We… we… have some issues…. With some of our investors but… that has been…. Taken care of…”, he passed her a weak smile and I chose to be quiet.

“You hid this from me?????” she was fuming in anger. I was looking at her all shocked. I had never seen her this much angry.

“I was like your shadow and you hid everything from me?” she smashed her fists on the table and I flinched a little. She made me scare.

“It was not my intention, Andrea”, she cut him off instantly and roared again. “I am your P.A. for God Sake and I have every right to know everything that is related to my work. How could you do this to me?”

Nicholas suddenly stood up from his chair and almost ran towards us. I also stood up in confusion. He instantly grabbed her from her shoulders. I got scared like s**t when she collapsed in his embrace. He immediately caught her and rest her head on his chest. My heart was beating so fast. What have I done?

“Andrea… Hey… Andrea”, he called her while patting her cheeks gently. She didn’t say anything. Her eyes were closed and her breathing was so hard.

“Nicholas…. Let her lay down”, I instantly said to him with concern and he almost dragged her to the couch. It seemed that she fainted. I was shivering due to fear. I didn’t know that it would go that much wrong.

He lay her down on the couch gently and then pulled her legs up to the couch. I immediately went to the cupboard and picked a cover for her. Nicholas let me cover her. He massaged her temple while straightening himself.

“I really am sorry, Nicholas. I didn’t have any idea that she would react as this and things went south”, I apologized in a crumbling voice. What if it would lead her again in a coma and could be worse. It would be just because I open mouth stupidly. I was literally scared for her now.

“It’s okay, Ty… she will be fine. It’s just….”, he sighed aloud and I looked at him helplessly. “Let me call the doctor”, he said to me while picking up his phone from his table. I went to her and sat beside her on the couch. Her face was looking so pale.

“What’s about her temperament, Nic? I have never seen her so angry and hurt. She sounded like you hurt her in a bitter way. I didn’t understand a thing”, I explained my state of mind. He looked at me and then talked with the doctor. I caressed her hair and tucked a string of hair behind her ear.

He came back to us and sat on the table in front of the couch. “I don’t know Ty, but I feel some… some changes in her since she woke up”, he was sounded unsure.

“Good or bad?” I asked him again while tucking her upper body with the cover. He sighed and looked at her. He had some kind of emotions in his eye that I was not able to point out. “Good, if I say. She is more confident and fierce. She is gentle than before and has a .... a ... like spark in her eyes that was not there before. She has sharpened her other business skills like negotiating. She even tamed Mr Casper in our last meeting, you know”, he chuckled and looked at him surprisnlgy.

“Is she?” I asked him in disbelief. He nodded while laughing a little.

“You know she gave him so innocent look with tactics of a cunning fox that he fell for her so hard. She wrapped him around her finger without approaching him in any other way. That was nothing but pure business. He ensured us that he will invest a good amount in my next project. Can you believe this?” he raised his brows in amusement and I just shrugged my head in disbelief.

“She is handling my business better than me, right now”, his statement sent me in a state of shock.

“What?” I yelled a little loud and he laughed hard. "Yeah... Ty..... she is ....", before he could finish, we heard a knock on the door and he instantly stood up. I was sure that the doctor had arrived.
