Monsters, immortals or demigods all know about this new. Now is not only my fight with Zeus anymore. Since the war broke out, people who had been holding a thought of causing rebellion took this as an opportunity to rise up. Though, two strongest sides by now were determined. My army had the most advantage above all. Olympians agreed to join my side. Most of minor gods followed my lead since I've got their respects from making them being recognised and respected. About demigods, they always had faith in me. Of course when things break out, they would always stand by my side. What left back for Zeus wasn't much. Sure he had the advantage from hold the high ground like Olympus. Ares was on his side, obvious. What surprised me was Athena. I knew she'd never disobey her father and always Zeus's favourite daughter. But she's realised and know more than anyone else how evil Zeus was. But she chose his side. That caused dad to hesitate to attack since he didn't want to harm Athena. Some minor gods were forced to stay back with Zeus. I didn't know why, but I think he's pulled something in there. Though the situation still not good for Zeus. Considering the number on each side and all. He threatened us he'd tell the world about our existence. Zeus was desperate, he needed any help he could grab. Few gods decided not to join this war yesterday. I agreed with them, cause I couldn't force them to stay with me anyway. Our base was now Camp Half Blood since it got the barrier and with some help from the gods, it's even stronger now. We still cared about Rome though. That was our second base and where our reinforcements were. If we lose control here, we could still flee down there. It's pretty far from Zeus's reach. The reason I chose to stay in Camp Half Blood because I wanted to keep an eyes on Olympus. I know this is a dangerous place though. If Zeus catch me, then it'll be over. But everyone needed me here with them. Jason had returned to Rome with Reyna, Hazel, Piper, Frank and minor gods to defend it. Now in Camp Half blood only me, campers, major gods, Hunters, Thalia, Nico and of course Leo. "Percy?" I heard someone's voice. "Percy" I startled and turned on my side to meet Artemis's concerned eyes. "Are you ok?" She asked. "You seemed pacing out. Something happened?" "I'm fine. Just thinking about everything has happened so far." Over the past few weeks, Artemis had been more protective over me. She wouldn't let me leave the camp alone. That really irritated me though, but I knew she did that for my own good and anyone. She was actually scared of her father. "Artemis" I called her. "Hm?" "Uh you know about the golden scroll that Zeus has right?" I asked. "Yeah" she turned to me "what about it?" "Well actually it didn't affect me the first time when Zeus tried to kill me. But the second time, I was controlled by it." I told her. Artemis just smiled and looked at me. "That scroll only work for the royal family Percy" she said. "Since you've got Poseidon blood inside you and you have married me, a princess if you prefer. You are now a full Royal. It's not a surprise if that scroll can control you." "Is it really that powerful?" I said. "Who made it anyway?" "Well since you have come this far" Artemis told me. "I think you should know a bit about the golden scroll or another name as the power of the King." "This scroll was made long ago" Artemis started. "When Gaia made Uranus to become the King. Not long after that, Mountain his brother wanted to overthrown him. Luckily Pontus came out to help, Uranus had stopped the rebellion. To prevent another war form happening again inside the royal family, Uranus has created a golden scroll, that he can control everything who are Royal or relatives. This was passed by Chaos himself and was approved by the high council. Though the scroll has its weakness. The next generation carrying Royal blood can declare war with the first generation and once the declaration iS said, the Royal or blood relatives are free from the scroll." "That's why Kronos could overthrow Uranus?" "I believe so." Artemis said. "Then the gods, a new generation came and declared war on their older generations. Which the gods have overthrown the Titans." "But why Kronos fought against us in the second war. He couldn't fight with Zeus right? It is against the law of the scroll." I frowned. "Indeed it is. But remembered who was the one that actually said the declaration and lead the army." Artemis said. I thought for awhile and looked up at her. "You mean..." "Yeah, that's part of the reason why Kronos possessed you. You're a new generation of the god, you could go freely and can fight against anyone." "But what about Gaia?" I said. "She didn't use me." "Percy." Artemis sighed. "It's not only you that can declare war. We're as well. Remember that the next generation can do it. Gaia can just convinced someone carrying the Royal blood to do it. Could be me, Apollo, Ares, Hermes, Athena or Dionysus. Doesn't have to be you." "Oh." I said. "It's kinda complicated." Sure I've got some detail about the scroll. But I still couldn't get much of them. "But with this scroll" Artemis said. "We could have some hope" "Huh?" I grimaced. "If we could get the golden scroll from Zeus, then we can control him and stop this war." "Yeah" I agreed. "But I think it wouldn't be that easy though. Zeus values that scroll more than everything." Artemis stopped for awhile. She was thinking hard about something. Then her face darkened. "Artemis" I asked. "You ok?" "Y-yeh" She stuttered. "Just thinking." "What is it?" I asked. "I've come to notice something weird about that scroll" "That scroll is always weird." I rolled my eyes. "No, it's not what I mean." Artemis exclaimed. "It has some kind of sickness or something. You see, Uranus was a good King at first, but ever since he held that scroll. His behaviour and mind changed. He started to make ridiculous decision, killing people with his will. He's changed completely, like he's turned into evil. Then it happened the same to Kronos. He was fine at first, but after years holding the scroll, he also started to change. He was to possessed with his power that he'd to sacrificed his own children to have it. Then it came to my father. Before he became the King, he was a good man. His decision and moves always right. Everyone respected him. But ever since he took hold of that scroll, he's changed so much from who he used to be." "So you are telling me" I folded my arms. "This scroll has a curse. Curse for the Kings?" "Yeah." She said. "And that curse just getting stronger each year. I'm scare Percy, I'm scarce that it might happen the same for you." I immediately pulled her into a hug. "Hey" I whispered on top of her head. "I won't change. As long as I have you by my side, I won't change. Because if I only that I know, you will always turn me back. So don't worry about it." Artemis just nodded and buried herself deeper into me. A horn sudde sounded. I let go of the embrace. "It's lunch time now" I said. "Let's not concerned about the scroll anymore. My stomach is grumbling now." Artemis chuckled. "Ok Big Stomach." She said. "Let's hit the food!"
