Amanda's P.O.V
My name is Amanda Light. I am an only child to two loving parents. I've never really had many friends, just three of my cousins Xavier and Arica, and my best friend, Melissa. Xavier stopped talking to me in public years ago when he started hanging around with Sage Stone, but Arica and Melissa stopped being my friends before the start of 11th grade. Sage Stone told them not to be my friends in front of everyone because I am not normal, like them. So this is how it went from then on. I just kept to myself and made sure I was the top student. I did my studies and stayed out of people's way, especially Sage's.
This is how my story begins, from the start until now. Ever since that day, my heart has been shattered, as they all agreed not to come around or be friends with me anymore. Even though I tried to get them to talk to me, it was no use. They were long gone and in the gang of the Stone Rock Fab4.
I am a normal girl, but the thing is, I don't live in a normal town or go to a normal high school. I go to a high school full of werewolves. That's why they all say I'm not normal because, you guessed it, I'm human. I get bullied by the Stone Rock Fab4, who, by the way, are all gorgeous. They called me Humi and told every single person in school not to talk to me. Of course, they all obeyed, even my cousins. Xavier is one of the Fab4, and he is the most loyal friend to the devil himself, Sage Stone. The future Alpha of the Stone Rock Pack.
My senior year had just begun, and I'd just turned 18 on August 1st. My parents got me a car for my birthday, so I didn't have to take the bus anymore. I am extremely happy that I can drive myself now. Today I woke up, got ready for school, and nearly missed my first class because I couldn't find a parking spot. When I did find one, it was taken by Vanessa, and She's the number one fangirl of the Stone Rock Fab4. She was yelling the same s**t; she always does 'snooze you lose' It's the third time she's done this since school started. She always catches me out when I'm a little too slow. Whatever these years will be different, I know it is; it has to be because I'm a senior this year. I can't wait to get out of here after I graduate high school.
So far, so good, I made it to class on time. Thank goodness! I beat it by five minutes before the bell rang. Now to make a list of stuff I'm going to do today before going home.
1st: Pass the English test
2nd: Pass the Art quiz
3rd: Eat Lunch
4th: Before school is out, go to the library and return the books I checked out
The teacher is starting class, my English test. I hope I ace it, and I should because I have been up half the night studying for it.
After the bell rings for the end of class, I rush to get to my locker to get my Art stuff out, ready for the next class. I was walking down the hallway when I noticed this faint aroma. I can't place where it's coming from, but it's so alluring that it envelops me, I look around, but there's no one there. I shrug it off, shut my locker, and head to class. Fingers crossed, I will pass the art quiz. I couldn't study as much for this one as I was so tired after studying for my English test.
The bell rings yet again for the end of class, and I think I did quite well on the quiz. I go to my locker, put my stuff away and head down to the cafeteria for lunch. I can't stop thinking about that lovely smell. Maybe I imagined it. I grab my lunch and walk outside towards the bench I always sit on; I'm not allowed to sit at any of the lunch tables because of Sage and his stupid rules. He doesn't want anyone talking to me, sitting with me, or being friends with me. I have no idea why he's like this, but I guess it's something I have to live with until I am out of here.
I was so happy last week when I got my early acceptance letter from Yale University. I got called to the principal's office along with the others that got accepted to Yale. The principal told us about the Yale orientation, and as soon as he finished telling us about it, I bolted out of there as fast as I could. I don't want Sage to catch up to me and yell at me like last time; he embarrassed me in front of everyone just because I said hi to my cousin Arica.
I'm sitting here alone with my thoughts, eating my lunch. I keep getting this feeling that someone is watching me. It's creepy. I look up, and Vanessa and her girls are standing there staring at me.
"What are you doing out here all alone, Humi?" Vanessa says, laughing at me with her friends. I just ignored them.
"Sage, darling, hi." Vanessa squeaked. Oh god, no, please not him; I hope he ignores me and leaves me alone. To my surprise, he does. He goes straight to Vanessa, picks her up, and swings her around, kissing her right in front of me. This is so gross, and I don't want to see this. I couldn't take it anymore, so I got up and left as fast as I could. I ran straight to the gym to hide. Before going to the library, it always made me nervous when Sage ignored me because it usually meant I would get it even worse after. I always hope that he leaves me alone, but at the same time, I want to get it over and done with.
