Chapter 5 - The Aftermath

Aoi’s POV
I slowly opened my eyes and groaned as I felt a stinging pain in my head. I cringed and massaged the temples of my forehead and while doing that, I looked around the place and realized that I’m currently inside the school’s clinic.
I sighed and bit my lower lip. Why am I here? What happened to me? Did I just passed out?
I have so many questions in my mind but none of those I could answer. I’m clueless, I couldn’t remember anything except walking together with Vlarius—
My eyes widened.
“Vlarius…” I whispered underneath my breath.
I tried to sit upwards but the moment I did, I moaned in pain. My lower body feels like hell especially my lower back part!
I winced in pain and bit my lower lip. What the hell just happened?! Why is my body so painful?! Is it because of the fall after I passed out? I bit my lower lip again and slowly stood up from the clinic bed. Even though my legs were shaking, I did my best to stand up. I walked around and saw no one inside of the clinic—it was just me alone. The school nurses weren’t around.
I decided to leave the clinic because no one was around and I don’t feel like sleeping anymore, plus it’s already late in the afternoon. I groaned and walked slowly towards the door. My hand was already on the door knob and I was ready to open the door when the door suddenly opened. My eyes widened and I let out a soft shriek.
“Aoi—hey! Why are you standing?!”
I looked in front of me and saw Vlarius who was gasping for air. He’s sweaty and he tied his slightly long hair into a bun. He was carrying foods and I think some medicines in his hands.
I gulped.
Did he just race from the canteen up to here? The canteen’s really far! It’s located on the campus A and the clinic is on the campus B!
My lips parted. Vlarius sighed and entered the room then closed the door behind him. He walked towards the bed that I was on before and placed the things that he brought for me. After that, he came back again and looked at me in the eyes. I still have my bangs down but I know that he could see me through my bangs.
“W-What?” I asked him. Wait, what? Did I just stutter?
I clenched my fist and immediately looked away when I noticed that he’s been looking at me straight in the eyes for a while now. I cleared my throat and was about to walk past him when he suddenly straight up scooped me up from the ground like a princess and carried me until we reached the bed that I was on before.
I shrieked when he dropped me.
“Ouch! My ass hurts!” I said and I glared at him. Vlarius looked away and I swear, I saw him smirked. I let out a deep breath. I placed my hand on the bed to push myself and slowly sat upright. I looked at Vlarius who was preparing the medicines beside me.
While I was looking at him, I realized that Vlarius actually has long lashes—longer than the girls’ lashes but that doesn’t make him look girly.
I tilted my head and decided to scan his face more. I was quite mesmerized by his looks.
While looking at him, I noticed more of his features.
For a man, his skin is quite pale. He has a dark long hair that reaches his shoulders. He has a long, pointy nose, chiseled jawline and lips as red as the blood.
He’s very pretty for a man. He actually looks like those handsome anime characters that I saw when I was still in Japan. I remember that those handsome men are called Ikemen.
I scoffed. I didn’t notice all of these before because I really didn’t care about him—or anyone. Plus, my bangs were on the way.
I was too focused on his features that I didn’t realize that I was looking at him for too long. My cheeks scorched with embarrassment. I quickly looked away and bit my lower lip.
I could feel the heat quickly spreading all over my face and my heart suddenly started beating fast. My eyes widened.
What was that?! Did I just blush?! And why did I look at him for so long?!
I heard him chuckle.
“Take your medicine.” He said. I bit my lower lip and fixed my bangs to cover up my hair. I couldn’t look at him directly and I don’t want him to see my reaction right now because I’m afraid that he might take it the wrong way.
I slowly turned around to him and took the medicine from his hand. I didn’t know what it was, I never bothered to read it, as long as it’s not a poison then everything’s good.
After swallowing the medicine, I took the glass of water from his hand and drank it. Since the water was cool, I made sure to finish it all off in one gulp also to calm myself down.
Few minutes passed and both of us fell silent. I kept on looking around to distract myself but I couldn’t. No one was talking and the only thing that I could hear in this room is the ticking sound of the clock.
Because I couldn’t handle the silence anymore, I broke the silence first by clearing my throat.
“S-So… y-you brought me here?” I awkwardly asked him in a soft voice. I’m really not that vocal and I’m not used to socializing with people so I don’t know how to properly communicate with someone. It’s already hard for me to talk because I’m an awkward person, now it’s much harder because the person that I’m trying to talk with is Vlarius.
“Yeah.” He answered while cleaning the table beside me. I slowly looked at him and he looked back.
“W-What happened?” I asked him. I noticed how his expression slowly changed. His head slightly tilted to the right and his eyebrow raised. Confusion was written all over his face.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
He placed the glass on the table again and sat on the chair next to me. My eyes widened when he suddenly squinted his eyes and leaned close to my face. Suddenly, I couldn’t move. Our faces are inches away from each other and I’m a hundred percent sure that he can see my eyes through my bangs now. I can feel my heart starting to race again.
I was about to push him away when he squinted his eyes and clicked his tongue.
His eyebrows furrowed.
“You’re not lying, you really can’t remember what happened.” He said and moved away. I gulped.
I’m really glad that he moved away. I was really afraid that he would see my face slowly reddening in embarrassment and I was afraid that he would hear my heart beating so loud and fast because he was so close to me.
I bit my lower lip and slightly moved away from him.
“You really can’t remember anything? So what’s the last thing that you could remember?” he asked without looking at me.
“Ah... uhm… I remember you chasing away those students and I remember walking beside you… that’s it.” I said to him. He just nodded his head. I really couldn’t see his expression because he suddenly turned around. “I-If I may ask, what happened? Did I do something?” I asked him again.
“You didn’t… do anything.” He answered. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion because he answered my question in a soft voice.
My eyes widened.
Oh no… did I do anything to him?!
“D-Did I do anything t-to you?” I nervously asked him. He didn’t answer. I slowly stood up from the bed and looked at him. My eyebrows furrowed when I saw him covering his mouth with his palm while blushing. I was about to ask him why he was covering his mouth when suddenly, the memories of what happened earlier today came rushing to me.
My eyes widened and I felt my cheeks burning in embarrassment.
“V-Vlarius… umm… ahn…”
“Vlarius… please, f**k me. f**k me again and again until I couldn’t walk, please…”
“You’re leaking down here.”
“Oh my God…” I whispered under my breath and looked at Vlarius who was looking at me. Our eyes met and suddenly, my heart started racing again. Vlarius was blushing just like me. My eyes widened when he suddenly covered his mouth.
My eyes widened as I felt my body burning again.
Fuck! The heat!
I looked at Vlarius in front of me. He was gasping for air and was biting his palm. My eyes widened when blood started dripping from his palm. He was struggling.
“W-Wha—” I tried to approach me but he took a step back.
“Vl—”
“Don’t come near me.” He said while gasping for air. He suddenly struggled to get up and was groaning. My eyes landed on his center and saw that it was slowly rising. Suddenly, the urge of touching it went through me.
I was salivating again and I could feel my back creaming.
“Vlarius…” I tried to approach him but he suddenly pushed me. I fell on the floor and landed butt first. My back hit the wall and I shrieked in pain. I looked at Vlarius and his eyes were widened but in fear. He was terrified. I felt a pang in my chest when I saw a hint of disgust in his eyes.
He tried to reach out to me but ended up pulling away and exiting the clinic leaving me alone in heat.
